Died on Monday last at Blount Springs in this state, MAJ. WILLIAM M. -MARR, a respectable citizen of this town in his 49th year. Born in Pittsylvania County, Virginia and emigrated to Tennessee in 1798 where he married and resided for more than 20 years. He removed to this state in 1819 and was one of the first settlers of Tuscaloosa. For several months past he has been afflicted with dispepsia.... Left a wife and 11 children to mourn his loss. September 17 ,1831 Married Thursday evening the 8th by REV. RECTOR of Christ Church, Tuscaloosa, EDWARD L. BAYOL (42 Pa), Esq. (Greene Co.) to SYLVANIA (39 NY), eldest daughter of FRANCIS STOLLENWERK, all of Greene Co. Ala. (Letter from MISS FLOY WATES--610 Church, Lufkin, Tex. February 24, 1964 "Trying to find where in Ala. my ggf NAPOLEM B. GARNER was b & reared & what was name of his wife ANN before she m. GARNER left Ala. & came to Tex (San Augustine) in 1841. Tex Census 1850. Shows his wife ANN was from Tenn. He was killed in 1842. "I have it by word of mouth that he came from Tuscaloosa.") October 1 1831 Married Tuesday evening last by REV. THOMAS A. SMITH, MR. ROBERT CARUTHERS (must be dead, 1850 Census) to MISS BELINDA HATTER (@ 45 in 1850 b SC) both of this place. Married in Fayetteville, Tennessee on the 12th inst. MR. NAPOLEON B. GARNER of Selma, Alabama (Dallas Co.) to MISS ANN L. McCONNELL, daughter of the late JOHN P. M'CONNELL of the former place (see Vol. VIII, term PP 7, 8) Died on the 24th inst. at MAJ. LEWEN's Hotel in this place after an illness of ten days, MR. HENRY HARSEIM of Eisenach, Grand Duchy of Weimar in Saxony. Had arrived in this country in the company of two friends about 3 months since. Object was to find a suitable place for settling for himself and some of his countrymen. Departed this life on Saturday night last after a short and afflicting illness, JOSEPH, eldest son of MR. H. M. ANDREWS aged 3 years 11 months and 16 days. BENJAMIN STOVALL, deceased. Died Saturday the 1st inst., MR. SAMUEL M'CRORY of this place. Died Sunday the 2nd inst., ELIZA H(OUSTON), daughter of MR. SAMUEL VANCE of this town (see card of Mis. ROBT. W. HARPER, JR. 1964) October 15, 1831 FRANCIS H. HICKIMBURG advertises Alabama Coffee House under management of ALEXANDER BLACKWELL. October 22, 1831 Died lately near Centreville, Bibb County, Alabama, MR. JACOB DOMINACK, a worthy and esteemed citizen. October 29, 1831 Died on the morning of the 15th inst. MRS. HARIET MOORE, wife of DR. DAVID MOORE of Madison County, Alabama. MRS. MOORE was the daughter of the late JUDGE HAYWOOD of Tennessee, formerly of North Carolina and was born in the latter state April 23, 1790. Methodist. Died lately in Centreville, Bibb County, Alabama, MRS. LOUISA ADAMS, wife of MR. GEORGE ADAMS. Departed this life on the 26th inst. MILDRED, youngest daughter of CONSTANTINE and ELIZA PERKINS. November 5, 1831 Married lately in Falmouth, Virginia by REV. E. C.
