Departed this life after a long and painful attack of palsy on the 2nd day of June last, ELIZABETH DARDEN, consort of GEORGE DARDEN of this county and vicinity in the 76th year of her age. MRS. DARDEN has long been a citizen and resident of this county and vicinity and needs but to be named to be recollected by most of our citizens.... She was an affectionate wife, a tender mother.... For 33 years she was a member of the Baptist Church. She left an aged husband and numerous posterity. New Stage line from Tuscaloosa to Livingston. S. G. FRIERSON & Co. July 13, 1842 Died ^“Philadelphia on the 27th of June, THOMAS W. KORNEGAY of this city aged about 27 years. Native of North Carolina. Died o pulmonary consumption, with which he was afflicted for a long time.... Obituary: Departed this life on Friday morning the 25th of June at the house of her son, near the line of Mississippi, MRS. JANE BINION, aged and amiable relict of the late WILLIAM BINION, Esq., of Tuscaloosa County. She survived her husband one month and was under much indisposition at the time of her husband's death. After his death, she retired with her sons to spend the remainder of her days with them and their families. She was bom in 1764 or 1865 of respectable parentage and brought up in Caswell County, North Carolina. She received more than an ordinary education for the custom of that time. She married in the year 1784 and not long after removed with her husband to Georgia and settled in Columbia County. She professed religion in May, 1803.... Was interred with her husband and some of her children.... Note: Her husband, WM. BINION was a Rev. War soldier. Administrator's Notice: Letters of Administration on the estate of THOMAS A.
