Benton County (now Calhoun) was created in 1832 by the Creek Cession/
Reward offered for the arrest of JAMES HENDERSON, JR. who murdered GEORGE BOGGAN of Clarke County. 19 May 1841. HENDERSON is described as being about 22 years old.

Died on the 25th instant at the residence of DANIEL CRIBBS, MRS. PAULINA ANN WYNNE, consort of WILLIAMSON WYNNE of Greene County.
$200 reward for the arrests of CRAWFORD A BROWN and JAMES C. RAYMOND, who broke jail in this county on Monday last.

Married in this vicinity last evening by REV. DR. MANLY, MR. WILLIAM C. WALKER, Printer of this county to MISS MARTHA B. WILLIAMS of this county.

In Greene County, on Monday evening last, by REV. W. A. SCOTT, THOMAS MAXWELL, Esq. formerly of Cockermouth, England (now of this city) to MISS SUSAN C(HARLOTTE) FARLEY, formerly of Massachusetts.
Died in the city of New York, on the 16th ult. of consumption, MAJ. GOVENEUR V. BARTINE aged 36 years, late of this city.
Died in Sumter County on the 11th instant, MR. HENRY W. SHACKELFORD,

Died in Sumter County, on the 22d of July, MR. THOMAS JOHNSTON, formerly of Georgia, aged about forty years.
Died in Wahalak, Mississippi, MR. JESSEE WRIGHT, of billious fever, aged about thirty years, leaving a wife and two children.

Married in this city on Thursday morning last by REV. MR. HAMILTON, MR. LEONARD B. NEAL to MISS HARRIET SAUNDERS, youngest daughter of HON. MARMADUKE WILLIAMS, all of this city.
Death of WILSON COBB, of Fayette. Died in Fayette County on Saturday the 31st ult. WILSON COBB, late member of the House of Representatives from said county. He was killed instantly by a falling limb. He was a native of South Carolina. A wife and children mourn his loss. Etc.
