Meeting of the citizens to pay respect to the memory of the late HARVEY W. ELLIS deceased (Paper in mourning for same)
Died at his plantation near Fairfield in Pickens County on Saturday the 12th inst. HARVEY W. ELLIS, of this city in his 41st year. His remains were brought to the city and interred on yesterday morning from the Presbyterian Church. REV. DR. MANLY, President of the University preached an eloquent and most appropriate sermon upon the occasion.
Married in Kemper County, Mississippi, MR. SAMUEL HARMON of this county to MISS. ADELINE SIMS, daughter of WILLIAM SIMS, late of this county.
Married in this city on Thursday evening the 27th ult. by REV. J. HAMILTON, WILLIAM P. HATTER, Esq. of Mobile to MISS MARY C. SIMS, daughter of the late EDWARD SIMS, Esq.
Dissolutoin of the partnership of GEORGE W. CRABB and WILLIAM COCHRAN, law firm.

Died in this city on Monday the 14th instant MRS. LYDIA NEAL, formerly of Orange County, North Carolina.
