June 28, 1843 Reward offered for the arrest of JAMES M. KING, who on the 21st of November 1842 did murder BRITTON FARROW in the county of Lauderdale. KING is described as being about 40 years of age, dark, reddish complexion, and a very hard drinker. July 5, 1843 Married at Providence Church, Sumter County, Alabama near the residence of REV. S. S. LATTIMORE at 5 o'clock, P.M. on Sunday, the 25th of June by REV. B. L. BARNES of Wahalak, Mississippi, MR. MATTHEW LYON, Printer of the Pickensville Register to MISS SUSAN MUSCOGEE, daughter of REV. LEE COMPERE of Tippah County, Mississippi. Married in North Tuscaloosa on the 23rd instant by WILLIAM THOMPSON, Esq. DR. SAMUEL N. McMINN to MISS ANN NUCKOLS. Also on the 25th instant by same, MR. THOMAS H. WALKER to MISS ELIZABETH OWEN. July 12, 1843 Reward offered for the arrest of ROLAND J. JOHNSON, who did murder ANGE WILSON in the County of Marshall on March 1st, 1841. JOHNSON is described as being about 25 years of age and has sandy hair and blue eyes . July 19, 1843 Petition to sell real estate. State of Alabama--Marion County. JAMES B. BANKHEAD, administrator and JANE BANKHEAD, administratrix of the estate of JOHN BANKHEAD, deceased. versus JOHN H. BANKHEAD and others, heirs of said JOHN BANKHEAD, deceased. JAMES B. BANKHEAD, one of the administrators made affadavit in court, showing that ELIZABETH METCALF, wife of JAMES METCALF, JOHN B. BARTON, SAMUEL BARTON and DAVID BARTON are non-residents of this state. PERKINS, administratrix of the estate of CONSTANTINE PERKINS, deceased, to make title to 20 acres of land sold during PERKINS' lifetime to one HIRAM P. COCHRAN. MOSES McGUIRE, Clerk Died in this city on Saturday evening, the 12th instant at 5 o'clock ANN, daughter of LEVI B. and ANN H. WINDHAM, aged about 4 years. Died on the morning of the 31st instant at the residence of her father in Greene County, Alabama of scarlet fever, after a short but severe illness, MISS SARAH LOUISA GLOVER, eldest daughter of WILLIAM A. and AMELIA T. GLOVER in the 17th year of her age. Obituary: Death of DR. HORATIO NELSON MORRIS, who departed this life on the 31st ult. at Wetumpka...
