October 17, 4844 Married in this city on Sunday evening last by REV. T. J. (F) CURTIS, MR. MILTON TANNEHILL to MISS MARY, daughter of MR. RICHARD MURPHY. Died in this city on Friday the 11th instant of an inflammatory bilious attack of about two weeks continuance, MRS. ELIZABETH A. FOSTER, wife of HON. ARTHUR FOSTER, aged 42 years. Died in this city on the 10th instant, CHARLES HENRY MORRISON, aged 3 months, Infant son of BENJAMIN F. and ELLEN MORRISON. MRS. GILLIGAN, wife of JAMES GILLIGAN the administratrix has removed out of the state without having completed her administration of said estate. State of Alabama-Tuscaloosa County. Estate of A. G. GOOCH, deceased, MRS. MARGARET GOOCH, administratrix. July 2, 1870 Died May 31 (Mdgo. M. says d June 1; see Vol. 184 p. 27) from effects of measels, MISS MARY SPILLER, daughter of ROBERT SPILLER in her 22nd (28th yr Independent Monitor) year; on June 1, JIMMY, son of ROBERT SPILLER in his 13th (19th? 12th yr, in Independent Monitor) year; on June 5, MISS ALICE, daughter of ROBERT SPILLER in her 20th year. July 16, 1870 JAMES WHITE, administrator of M. T. GROSSLAND, deceased. July 23, 1870 ---Died in this city on July 16, PHILIP HENRY MAXWELL, infant daughter of JOHN L. and MARY ANN MAXWELL aged 8 months. July 30, 1870 Died at the residence of MR. C. E. TILKINS in Marysville (Calif), July 4, 1870, DR. LaFAYETTE GUILD. Native of Alabama and removed from Mobile to San Francisco in Nov. 1869. Very eminent in his profession (see Indep. Monitor). August 6, 1870 Died in this city on the evening of the 2nd of August, MRS. JENNIE M. consort of W(M) H. DOUTHIT in her 20th year. Just weeks before, MR. DOUTHIT claimed her for his bride and brought her hither from Elyton (Jefferson Co.) where lives her mother and other relatives, (see Indep. Monitor) Died in Tuscaloosa Aug. 1, MRS. WEALTHY JANE BOYD (26 A), relict of FRANK BOYD, Esq. aged about 47. She was born if I mistake not in Tuscaloosa Co. and resided in the town of Tuscaloosa for a number of years prior to the war. Devoted wife and affectionate mother. (see Indep. Monitor) August 13, 1870 Married on the evening of 7th at residence of bride's father by REV. GEORGE H. HUNT, MR. JOSEPH VOYLE and MISS GENEVIEVE SELLICK, all of this city. Estate of S. P. JOHNSON, deceased, divided between ELIZABETH, DAVID and HARVEY JOHNSON, minor heirs. 201 - (3501)
