Died in Huntsville of consumption on the morning of the 19th, DeFOREST B. TOMLINSON, eldest son of MAJ. D. C. TOMLINSON in his 23rd year. He left his home in Watertown, New York a few weeks ago for the purpose of spending the winter with his father in northern Alabama... . January 29, 1867 CAPT. DUDLEY SALE was born in Amherst County, Virginia October 25, 1781 and moved to Georgia with his parents when quite young. Emigrated to Madison Co. Ala. in 1814 when it was but newly settled. First settler on Beaver Dam Creek near Meridianville. Soon afterwards, he purchased his present place. Here he raised a family of 12 children... Member of Methodist Episcopal Church South for more than 40 years. Died January 16 leaving his wife, 3 children, 13 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.... Died at Florence (Lauderdale County) on the 23rd, DUNCAN R. FOSTER, son of JUDGE B. F. FOSTER in his 15th year. February 1, 1867 Died on the 30th near Madison Station, FANNY, daughter of MRS. ELIZA HOPKINS. February 5, 1867 Died in Lincoln County, Tennessee on the 25th, MR. WILLIAM G. MOORE aged 56. Died on the 20th in Marshall County, Miss., MR. RICHARD H. McCRAVEY (McCRARY--@ 42 T), formerly of Jackson Co. (to Christian) (Ala.) Died in this city on the 3rd of dropsy, MR. MIKE SULLIVAN. February 12, 1867 Died on the 11th, MR. LEWIS M. KENNARD (38 T), an old and well known citizen. February 15, 1867 Died on the 10th at his father's residence 7 miles northwest of Huntsville, MURRAY ROBERTSON KING in his 24th year. February 26, 1867 Died in Lawrence County on the 2nd, MRS. MARY R. EGGLESTON aged 50. March 8, 1867 Died on the 2nd of consumption, WILLIAM B. JOHNSON of this city. Died on the 5th in Florence (Lauderdale Co.), PROF. A. E. TETLOW. Died on the 4th of consumption, MR. CRAWFORD M. HUMPHREY. Died near Tuscumbia on the 24th, MR. JOSIAH RICHARDSON aged 38. Died on the 19th, MR. L. P. GUY, an old citizen of that vicinity. March 12 1867 Died near this place on the 9th, MR. JOSEPH F. BAILEY, an old and well known citizen of this vicinity. March 14 1867 Died on the 6th instant at his residence near Bell Factory of erysipelas, MR. MORRIS MOORE aged 66. He was a native of North Carolina and came to Madison County, Alabama some 50 years ago and has resided here ever since. Member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Wife and many children and grandchildren survive. Died in this county on the 11th of consumption, MR. DICKSON GRAHAM aged 30. April 2, 1867 Died on the 12th at Burleson, Alabama, MR. ROBERT H. HUGHS aged 56, formerly of this county. April 5, 1867 Died on the 2nd instant of consumption, MR. RICHARD L. ELLIOTT aged 44 years, 4 months and 5 days. For a long time, he was a citizen of this place. He leaves an interesting family. 221 - (3521)
