Died on the 2nd inst. MRS. MARY M. KENNEDY, an aged and highly esteemed lady of this city.
Married at the residence of MRS. E. E. HOLT on the 29th inst. by REV. DR. PETRIE, MR. WM. BERNEY to MISS LIZZY J. TAYLOR, daughter of DR. W. P. TAYLOR, all of Montgomery.

Died on the 28th of Jan. 1868 in his 74th year, JOSEPH PICKENS, Esq. Born in N.C. on 31 Aug. 1794 and had been a citizen of Madison Co. over 50 years. Quiet, useful, good citizen, beloved by all who knew him and an earnest, faithful Christian. (son of ANDREW & MARGARET (DONDLE) PICKENS--ancestors of MRS. HARRY C. WHITE, Homewood, Ala. 1952--He m. 1818 SELINA BROWN BRAZELTON, d of HENRY, LYDIA (LEDBETTER) BRAZELTON; gd of JACOB & HANNAH BRAZELTON & of JOEL LEDBETTER)

On 28th, MR. JOHN A(?) MURRELL (43 V), an old and well-known citizen of this place aged about 67.

MASTER JAMES BIBB of this place was killed near Corinth (Alcorn Co.) Miss, last week as is supposed by a man named STEWART and then robbed.
