June 9, 1868 CHARLES A. FULLER, grand secretary of Masonic orders in Tennessee died last week. June 12, 1868 Married on the 4th by REV. DAVID JACKE, MR. EDWARD M. RICE to MISS FRANCES M. RODGERS, both of this county. On the 4th at Broyles Church by REV. J. J. BURDINE, MR. JAMES FANNING aged 82 yrs to MISS BRAGG aged 50, both of this county. Died on the 9th in Big Cove, MRS. PEGGY MULLEN aged 84. On the 14th, MRS. SARAH MATTHEWS, wife of SAMUEL MATTHEWS, Esq. of this city. June 16, 1868 Advertisement of WILLIAM FRYE, portrait painter June 19, 1868 Died on the 14th, HATTIE ANN COLLIER, daughter of MARY S. and JO. C. COLLIER aged 2 years 3 months and 15 days. June 23, 1868 Died on the 20th after a short illness, MRS. MARY H. ALLISON, wife of ALEX. ALLISON, Esq. of this place. Her remains were taken to Knoxville for interment. On the 14th, JULIA HENTZ MILLER, infant daughter of BURGESS M. and ELIZABETH M. MILLER of this county. On the 15th, GEORGE WILLIAM SMITH, son of JOSHUA and CAROLINE SMITH died aged 2 years and 6 months, living in Big Cove. Died on the 18th, MELTON BYRD, infant son of REV. J. H. and MARY DRAKE of this county. June 26, 1868 Married Tuesday evening by REV. DR. F. A. ROSS, CAPT. JAS. 0. STANAGE of the firm of STANAGE, SAUNDERS & Co. of Cincinnati to MISS MARY M. BRADLEY (4A), daughter of COL. JOSEPH C(OLVILLE) BRADLEY (40 V) of Huntsville, Ala. Died on the 23rd, COL. E. C. PYNCHON aged 64. Native of Mass, and moved to Georgia when 21, where he resided until 1838, when he removed to Huntsville. Man of strong sense, much information and of strict integrity. June 30, 1868 MICHAEL RINEHARDT of Shelby County, Alabama was killed last week while threshing wheat. SEABORN JONES was killed at Notasulga (Macon Co.), Ala. on 25th by NICK FERRELL. JONES was a railroad engineer. July 3 1868 Died on the 30th, KATE, infant daughter of C. C. and MARY J. DART aged 5 mo. and 8 days. Died on the 2nd, HARRIET McCALLEY, wife of REV. JEFFERSON McCALLEY of this place aged 35. MAJ. S. B. MARKS, a prominent citizen of Montgomery died last week. July 10, 1868 Died on the 6th, MRS. GEORGIANN NORVELL (31 A; nee BEALE m 1842), wife of MR. R(EUBEN) B. NORVELL (41 V) of this place. MRS. N. was a true woman in every sense of the word educated, accomplished, refined. A firm friend, a devoted wife, a fond and faithful mother, an humble Christian; and there was a daily beauty in her walk and conversation such as is rarely seen but always appreciated by the discerning. Her sad death is a grievous loss to her family and a large circle of friends and acquaintances. July 14, 1868 Died, JOHN OWEN SCHRIMSHER (4 A), son of ALFRED SCHRIMSHER (39 T) on the 9th aged about 25. COL. ROBERT MITCHELL of Macon Co. Ala. died a few days ago. 226 - (3526)
