HAUGHTON, formerly of this county died at his residence near Aberdeen, Miss, on 18. CAPT. JOHN M. BRAINARD, an old steamboat man died on 20th in Mobile. October 30, 1868 Died on 24, MRS. ELIZA HOUK, wife of M. D. HOUK, Esq. Married on 22 by REV. MR. ANDREWS, MR. WILLIAM DAVISON to MISS CALLIE A. LIPSCOMB, both of this county. On 19 by REV. JOHN TURRENTINE, MR. B. F. MALONE to MISS SARAH E. JOHNSON. November 10, 1868 Married on 29 by REV. A. J. HALL, MR. JOS. C. VANN of this county to MISS SUE M. FULLER of Dyer Co. Ala, (must mean Tenn.) Died on 30 Oct. at residence on Brier Fork in this county, MR. WILLIAM MURPHY (56 SC) aged about 77. Baptist. He is the last of the early settlers of that neighborhood. Raised a large family of children, all of whom are grown and highly respected. Wife survives him. November 13, 1868 Married on 28th in Marion, Ala. by REV. R. H. RAYMOND, M. B. P. YEATMAN, formerly of this city to MISS SALLIE E. JOHNSON of Macon. MR. JOHN McKINNEY to MISS DENA KELSO; MR. J. F. MOORE to MISS MARY E. FARRISTON; MR. J. A. NEWMAN to MISS MARY SEISS; MR. J. T. BINNINGTON to MISS MARGARET A. WELCH; MR. B. W. RHOTON to MISS SARAH J. MOORE; MR. G. W. ANDERSON to MISS LOUISA SETLIFF, all of Lincoln County, Tennessee. Died on 22nd, MR. ISAAC MILLER (54 V) aged 74, for many years a respected citizen of this county. REV. DR. PHILIP PHEELEY of Methodist pulpit died in Mobile on 9th. November 17, 1868 Married on the 3rd in Gadsden, Alabama by REV. J. RUSSELL, CAPT. SAM B. ECHOLS to MISS JODA M. POPE, daughter of the late JUDGE B. T. POPE. In Corinth, Mississippi on the 10th by REV. MR. FREEMAN, MR. D. A. TIMBERLAKE of Huntsville to MISS MINNIE DUNCAN of Corinth. Died on 13th, MR. JOHN G. CLAPP, son of MR. S. S.
