Died on the 19th of May at the residence of her son, CAPT. JOHN CLARKE at Campbellton (Jackson Co.), Fla., MRS. SUSAN CLARKE, mother of MRS. WILLIAM MASTIN and MRS. J. C. BRADLEY of this city, in her 70th year. We have known her since our early boyhood... Presbyterian... June 5, 1869 DR. SAMUEL BRECK, formerly of this place died in Canton (Madison Co.) Miss, on the 30th. Possessed of fine sense, excellent attainments, genial manners. June 18, 1869 Married on the 16th at the residence of CARVER KING, Esq. by REV. R. K. BROWN, THOMAS H. HEWLETT, JR. to MISS VIRGINIA KING, all of this county. Died on the 13th at the residence of her husband, DR. J. W. PETTY in the vicinity of New Market, MRS. ANNA PETTY in her 72nd year. Baptist. June 22, 1869 Died near Brownsboro on the 2nd of consumption, NANCY SANFORD, youngest daughter of JOHN SANFORD. Died on the 21st of acute enteritis, MARY ALICE, daughter of CAPT. S. W. and MRS. SUE E. FORDYCE aged 19 months. June 25, 1869 Married at the Church of Nativity June 24th by REV. J. M. BANNISTER, Rector, COL. WILLIAM F. MASTIN to MISS FANNIE MOORE, both of this city. Died at Hazle Green on the 17th of pneumonia, MRS. ANN WILBURN, relict of ELIAS (Rev. Sol) WILBURN (or son of Rev Sol) aged about 60. (Note: I think this should be WELBORN.P.J.G.) CAPT. THOMAS B. MILLS, formerly of this place died in Montgomery on the 21st. Son of the late COL. A(RCH'D) E. MILLS, was an officer in the Navy and then a captain in the Confederate navy. DR. DRU TANNER was killed this week near Markham's Mills in this county by a young man named HALL. July 2, 1869 Died in Nashville on the 29th, MRS. ELVIRA FACKLER NICHOL, daughter of MR. JOHN J. FACKLER of Huntsville, and wife of DR. WILLIAM T. NICHOL of that city. Remains were brought here for interment. July 9, 1869 Married on the 30th by REV. J. H. DRAKE, MR. WILLIAM B. HAYNES to MISS ELIZA G. SIBLEY, all of this county. Married on the 5th by REV. J. H. DRAKE, MR. HENRY TUCK to MISS LUCY J. DAVIS, all of this county. Married in this city on the 7th at the residence of the bride's father by REV. FATHER TRECY, MR. H. A. WRENCH of Dalton (Whitfield Co.), Ga. to MISS FRANCIS REBMAN of this city. Died on the 7th near this city, MRS. SUSAN J. ROBERTSON, wife of J. MURRAY ROBERTSON. Died on Saturday the 26th of consumption, MRS. ANN ELIZA TONEY, widow of ELIJAH TONEY, deceased aged 35. Methodist. Leaves 5 small children. Died on Sunday the 4th, EVA WEDEMEYER, daughter of FREDERICK and FRANCES WEDEMEYER aged 7 years and 8 months. PROF. WEDEMEYER is leader of the military band of U.S. Infantry stationed here. July 13, 1869 Married on the 12th by ROBERT W. FIGG, Esq. at the residence of F. ARNAL, CHRISTOPHER WOOLF to MISS BETTY HURLEY, all of this county. MAJ. W. T. GUNTER of Dale Co. was killed. REV. DR. THOMAS W(ILMER) DORMAN, a prominent (b Oct 13, 1804) minister of the M. E. Church died in Mobile on the 3rd. (news says d 2d) July 16, 1869 Died on the 17th near this city, MRS. MARY WALTER PLEASANTS, wife of SAMUEL PLEASANTS, Esq. and youngest daughter of JOHN ROBINSON, Esq. 235 - (3535)
