ISAAC W. LANDERS while out hunting near Madison Station was killed. State of Alabama--Madison Co.--Probate Court, Sept. 13. JOSEPH M. HAMBRICK, administrator of HENRY WHITMAN, deceased. WILSON, MR. ELLIOTT R. MATTHEWS to MISS FANNIE, daughter of J. W. SCRUGGS, Esq. all of Huntsville. October 12, 1869 Died on the 8th in this city, MR. WILLIAM N. PRESTON in his 49th year. Bom in Prince Edward County, Virginia April 13, 1821. Came to this city several years before the war and has resided here ever since, except two years spent at Corinth, Miss. Affectionate husband, good citizen, Mason. October 15, 1869 Married on the 14th in this city by REV. R. K. BROWN, MR. JAMES E. FLETCHER to MISS SALLIE S. MATTHEWS, daughter of SAMUEL MATTHEWS, Esq. Died near Meridianville in this county on 24 Sept. MR. SAMUEL A. THOMPSON aged 23. HON. N. W. COCKE, late Chancellor died in Greenville, Ala. on Sunday last. JUDGE JOS. W. FIELD of Columbus, Miss, died on the 2nd aged 70. September 28, 1869 Died on the 11th in Cherokee County, MR. JOHN W. TRIPPE an estimable citizen aged 38. October 19, 1869 Died on the 11th, ROBERT D. youngest son of MR. and MRS. A. J. SCHRIMSHER of this vicinity aged about 15 years. On the 14th, ANDREW HENRY SMITH, son of SENEA SMITH committed suicide near Vienna in this county. October 22, 1869 Married at the Church of Nativity October 21st by REV. MR. BANISTER, MR. OLIVER BEIRNE PATTON to MISS BETTY IRVINE WHITE, daughter of COL. ADD. WHITE, all of Huntsville. MR. GEORGE W. NEAL, a well-known citizen died on Tue. night aged about 57. For a long time a druggist and then a banker of this place. Liberal and public-spirited and a man of strong practical sense and leaves many friends. "ISAAC COOK, a clerk in the Selma Times was accidentally killed on the 16th." November 16, 1869 "Married on the 10th at the residence of THOMAS J. CARSON near Huntsville by REV. JOSEPH E. CARTER, MR. AUGUSTUS H. FINNEY of Houston Co. Ga. to MRS. MARY E. GOFF of Selma, Ala." October 29, 1869 Married on the 27th at the residence of the bride's father by REV. ROBERT K. BROWN, MR. HENRY P. TURNER to MISS FANNIE LEE ELLIOTT all of this county. (Note: This should be "ELLETT") Married at the Church of our Saviour in Brooklyn, N.Y. at 12 o'clock M., Oct. 21st by REV. MR. POSTLETHWAITE, MR. ALBERT H. ANGELL, formerly of this city to MISS FLORENCE A., daughter of ELISHA DeWOLFE, Esq. formerly of Horton, Nova Scotia. Died on the 9th at Bell Factory, WILLIE, son of MARGARET L. FLUELLEN aged 8 years 6 mo. Died on the 24th, JAMES A. ESSLINGER, son of MR. LEVI W. and MRS. MOLLIE D. ESSLINGER aged 1 year 9 mo. 2 days. November 2, 1869 Married on the 29th at Huntsville Hotel by REV. J. G. WILSON, WILLIAM P. KRAMER, Esq. to MISS MARY BYRD of Cynthiana (Harrison Co.), Ky. 238 - (3538)
