At Presbyterian Church in Oxford, Ala. on 23 by REV. MR. McLAIN, DR. W. W. HARRISON of Madison Co. to MISS ANNIE GLADDEN, daughter of MR. JAMES A. GLADDEN of Oxford. Died on the 26th in New Orleans, MRS. SYLLA WITHERSPOON, wife of CAPT. H. E. WITHERSPOON and daughter of GEN. JONES M. WITHERS. A. P. WIMBISH of Clark Co. Ala. was killed a few days ago by MR. CHAPMAN. June 16, 1871 In Lincoln Co. Tenn. MR. L. W. NELSON was married to MISS J. E. KING; MR. JOHN H. SCOTT to MISS SUSAN P. MINSETT and W. T. ROSS to MISS ANNIE W. MILLER; and MINOS CANNON aged 24 years and MRS. MARTHA J. SHORT aged 47 died. MYERS FISHER a well known citizen of Mobile died on the 5th. Married on the 7th by REV. OLIVER WELCH, HON. JAMES CROOK of Calhoun Co. to MISS JENNIE P. daughter of the late WALKER REYNOLDS of Talladega Co. Died on the 15th, HOLLIS BARCLAY, son of MR. and MRS. WM. P. NEWMAN of this place aged 2 years 10 mo. and 19 days. On the 12th of congestion, SAMUEL P. son of ROBERT W. and MATTIE COLTART. In Wetumpka, Ala. on 6th of chronic liver complaint, MRS. LUCY JANE ROOT, wife of REV. TIMOTHY ROOT in her 67th year. June 23, 1871 Married on the 15th at the residence of the bride's father, MR. WM. C. WINSTON, MR. WILLIAM A. HUNT to MISS FANNIE A. WINSTON of this city. Married on the 7th by REV. J. H. DRAKE, MR. ANGELO R. ALLISON to MISS SALLIE C. ANYAN, all of this county. Married on the 9th of Mar. 1871 by REV. J. H. DRAKE, MR.
