ESLINGER aged about 11 mo. Died at the family residence on Franklin St. on the 22nd, MRS. ISAPHEENA BASSETT aged 60 years, wife of the late DR. JOHN Y. BASSETT. July 7, 1871 Married on June 26 in this county by H. H. HARTON, Esq. MR. WM.,G. JOHNSON to MISS ANNIE M. CHUNN, all of Madison Co. Married at the residence of the bride's father, GEN. E. W. PETTUS in Selma Tue. June 27 by REV. MR. LOWRY of the Presbyterian Church, MR. THEOPHILUS LACY, JR. of Huntsville to MISS MOLLIE N. PETTUS. Died on 22 June near Madison Roads, Alabama, MARK H. CROCKER, an old and highly respected citizen of this county, after lingering 14 years with chronic rheumatism. He was about 52. Brandon (Rankin Co.) (Miss.) Republican please copy. WILLIAM FRAZIER was scalded to death in Dallas Co. Ala. last week by bursting of a saw mill engine. July 21, 1871 DR. JAMES B. ALEXANDER of Mobile died on the 13th aged 47. July 28, 1871 Married on the 23 by DICKSON COBB, Esq. MR. WM. C. POOR to MISS MARY L. CRAFT, daughter of the late JOHN CRAFT, all of this county. Died in this city on 22nd, GEORGE BEIRNE PATTON, son of MR. WM. PATTON in his 20th year. Died on the 16th in this city, GEORGE W. JR. infant son of GEO. and SARAH J. HERBERT aged 6 months and 6 days. Died on the 18th at the residence of COL. THOMAS H. HEWLETT in Madison Co. Ala., MARY LOUISA, infant daughter of C. H. and MYRTICE BANKS of Marianna (Lee Co.), Ark. (to McLane) August 4, 1871 Married on 2 August in the Methodist Church by REV. J. G. WILSON, MR. BENJAMIN S. TURNER to MISS ADDIE M. JORDAN, daughter of DR. C. A. JORDAN, all of this place. Married on 19 July at the residence of DR. BURKE in Meridianville, by REV. J. R. MORRIS, MR. RICHARD A. CHUNN to MISS MARY E. BURKE. Married on 29 June by REV. JOHN W. BROWN, MR. JOHN D. OWEN to MISS MARTHA E. J. VANN, all of this county. Died at his residence in this place on Sunday night 30 July of consumption, CAPT. DAVID H. TODD, formerly of Kentucky, but for last six years a resident of Huntsville, in his 40th year. Served in the Mexican War, was engaged in a Revolution in Chili and visited Japan etx. and was a Captain in the Confederate army. Died at the residence of his sister, MRS. CLARISSA H. TONEY, MR. GEORGE W. NOBLE, formerly a printer in Huntsville. We think he served his initiate in Southern Advocate office under the late DANDRIDGE FARISS. He was about 60 years of age, a good printer and a man of amiable character. August 11, 1871 Married on the 3rd at Tennessee House in Pulaski, Tennessee by REV. L. HENSLEY GRUBBS, MR. JAMES R. SPRAGINS to MISS SALLIE KATE, daughter of the late JAMES H. BIBB, all of Madison, Ala. Married on July 12 by REV. J. H. DRAKE, MR. JOHN M. McNIEL to MISS MARTHA M. BRAZELTON, all of this county. August 25, 1871 Married in Pulaski, Tennessee on the 10th by REV. JAMES BRADLEY of Columbia, PROF. Z. WHITFIELD EWING to MISS HATTIE JONES, daughter of MAJ. THOMAS M. JONES of Pulaski.
