TOPP to MISS BENNETT S. BOGGESS, formerly of this county. Married on 25 July by F. T. BUTLER, Esq. MR. JOSEPH S. MAPLES to MISS MARTHA J. CARMACK. Married on 23 July at the residence of MR. JOSEPH K. SANFORD by REV. J. R. MORRIS, MR. WILLIAM D. STEGER to MISS MARGARET F. SANFORD. Also at same time and place, MR. JOSEPH F. JINKINS to MISS RHODA A. SANFORD, all of this county. Died on 23 July on Monte Sano near Huntsville, CORA LEE, daughter of MR. and MRS. W. T. NICHOLS--an infant bud. August 9, 1872 Died in this county July 25, NANCY ALLISON (w of JOHN--census) aged 61 years 5 months and 4 days. Life long resident of this county and for many years a true and consistent member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Died in this city on the 30th, MRS. ELIZA R(ACHAEL) POOSER (b Sept 26, 1807, d July 29, 1872, nee ELIZA RACHEL WAMER--says b Orangeburg Dist SC), mother-in-law of REV. G(EORGE) W. F. PRICE, President of Huntsville Female College in her 61st year. Died in this city on the 4th, MRS. PRICE (she was ELIZ M. POOSER tombot-b Jan 22, 1827, d Aug 4, 1872), wife of REV. G. W. F. PRICE. Died on the 3rd at the residence of MR. THOMAS S. McCALLEY of this place, MRS. ANN C. LANFORD, widow of the late ROBERT LANFORD aged 83. Born in Augusta (Richmond Co.), Ga. December 17, 1789 and had resided in this vicinity about 60 years. Methodist. Died in Marion (Cuttenden), Ark. on 15 February, SUE HINDS, daughter of MR. LINSEY HINDS, formerly of this county, in her 17th year, having been born Jan. 17, 1856. August 16, 1872 Married at Church of Nativity in Huntsville on 8th by REV. J. M. BANISTER, DAVID D. SHELBY, Esq. to MISS ANNIE E. DAVIS, daughter of COL. Z. P. DAVIS, all of this city. Died on 6th at his residence near Jonesboro, Ala. REV. W. B. MOORE (d 1872 @ 75 SC); also on 7th, his wife. There was only 12 hours between their deaths and both were buried on the 8th in the same grave, (former w LUCY A d 1859 m. 63 yr.) August 23, 1872 Died on 17th of consumption, MRS. JENNETTE SWASEY, wife of MR. JOHN SWASEY. Devoted wife and mother. August 30, 1872 MR. JOHN SANFORD, an old and good citizen of this county died on the 22nd at his residence in Brownsboro. Married on the 8th at the residence of the bride's mother by REV. L. HENSLEY GRUBBS, MR. WOODSON C. SAUNDERS to MISS EMILY P. CANTERBURY all of this county. 259 - (3559)
