JORDAN of congestive chills. MR. J. was a young man. much respected by all who knew him. Died near Red Hill, Ala. on Tues. Nov. 25, JAMES BERRY (56 NC, MARSHALL W) in his 81st year. MR. BERRY was born in S.C. and when quite young removed to Ala. He was father of 18 children and had up to the day of his death, 79 grandchildren. Consistent member of Baptist Church. January 8 1874 Died in this city on Monday last, the 5th instant, MR. J. W. DAVID. He moved to this city about the close of the late war from Columbus, Ga. A Baptist and Mason. Left a wife and children. January 29, 1874 Married on Thursday, January 8th at the residence of the bride's mother in New Orleans, La. by REV. HENRY M. SMITH, JOHN WALKER COLEMAN to ANNIE H., daughter of the late JOHN BROWNLEE, both of that city. WALKER is well and favorably known in this community as son of the late JOHN J. COLEMAN, once editor and proprietor of the Huntsville Advocate. February 12, 1874 Tribute of respect. Whereas on the 1st day of January 1874, it pleased the Architect to the Universe to remove from our midst our worthy brother, JOHN T. HADEN aged 61 years. Masonic Northern Lodge #278. February 19. 1874 From Minutes of Board of Directors of National Bank of Huntsville 24 February 1874: "Since last meeting of this board, THEOPHILUS LACY, beloved and worthy cashier of the National Bank of Huntsville died at his residence within those walls on Thursday night. 10th day of February. 1874 at the age of 70 years 1 month and 10 days.
