March 19 1874 Died in Marysville, Cook County, Texas on the 1st day of February last, WILLIAM M. CROSS. He was born in Huntsville, Ala. about the year 1816. Removed to Texas in 1858. Single man. GILL aged 63 years. Methodist. June 11, 1874 Married at the residence of the bride's father on evening of the 13th ult. by REV. G. T. STAINBACK, MR. JUDGE (34 SC, Lowndes Co.): Death of this distinguished jurist occurred at his home in Greenville (Butler Co.) last Friday after a painful illness borne with heroic fortitude. He was born in Richmond District, North Carolina November 1, 1815. While yet a child, his parents removed to this state and settled in Butler County.
