D. VAN HORN, who formerly resided in this city and was born in Stevenson, Alabama (to Christian) (Jackson Co.) February 4, 1873.

Died in this city Wednesday morning August 24 of cancer, in 44th year, AMATUS ROBBINS BURRITT, born near Springville, Illinois. His father, DR. ALEXANDER H. BURRITT was one of the pioneers of homoeopathy. Seeing his fitness for medicine, he received his medical education at Cleveland, Ohio, graduated 1853 and soon after located in this city, being associated with DR. RICHARD ANGELL. In 1866, he married MISS MARY K. ROBINSON and leaves an interesting family.... Funeral from Church of Nativity (Episcopal).

From Moulton Advertiser (Lawrence Co.). MR. L(EVI) F. WARREN (49 SC), 76 years old died at his home 5 miles south of this place on the 26th of typhoid fever. He was here when this county was nothing but a canebrake.... Married at the residence of the bride on the 24 of August, MR. J. 0. NORWOOD to MRS. SARAH ELKINS, all of this county. The groom is 78 and the bride is 40.
