MRS. FRANCES NEAL, widow of the late STEPHEN NEAL died of pneumonia Monday night November 12th aged 96 years. MRS. NEAL was, we believe, the oldest living resident of Huntsville, having come here when Alabama was a Territory. She was an affectionate mother and a Christian in the Presbyterian Church. She and her grandson SEBRING were borne to the cemetery in the same procession. November 21, 1883 MR. JAMES R. ROUTT of Fayetteville (to Nailer) and MISS ROSALIE O'NEAL of Huntsville were married by the REV. J. G. WOODS in this city Nov. 20, 1883. J. W. CALDWELL, Esq. of Knoxville, Tenn, and MISS KATIE M. BARNARD were married by REV. DR. BANNISTER at the Church of Nativity, in Huntsville November 20, 1883... reception at the residence of COL. R. B. RHETT, the bride's stepfather. MR. W. H. STYLES of Cartersville (Barton Co.), Georgia and MISS LIZZIE CHADWICK were married by REV. DR. BARR at the residence of the bride's father, MR. JOHN D. CHADWICK in Huntsville, Ala. at 2 p.m. Nov. 21st. (MISS FANNY CHADWICK d @ 86, May 22, 1953, dau of JOHN D. & FANNY COX CHADWICK) November 28, 1883 MR. W. A. PARKS and MISS VASHTI SWAZEY were married by REV. A. B. JONES at the residence of the bride's father, MR. JOHN SWAZEY on Thursday night, Nov. 22nd, all of Huntsville. MR. J. R. STEGALL and MISS EMMA ORGAIN were married by the REV. J. A. THOMPSON at the residence of the bride's father in Huntsville, Ala. Nov. 27, 1883. MR. JOHN H(ARDYMAN) DUNN (28 NC), a well known citizen (son of JOHN of Ldale Co, see Vol. 104), died at Madison, Ala. on Monday last, Nov. 25, 1883 at an advanced age. December 12, 1883 MR. LARKIN P. SULLIVAN died at his residence in Madison County, Alabama on Dec., 1883 aged 71 years. December 19, 1883 CAPT. WILLIAM M. ROPER died at his residence in Madison Co. Ala. on Sunday Dec. 12, 1883 aged over 80 years. CAPTAIN ROPER was one of the oldest and most estimable citizens of this county. December 26, 1883 Married on Thursday, Dec. 20, 1883 at the residence of the bride's father, MR. W. L. GOODWIN in Huntsville, MR. H. M. RANDALL of Georgia to MISS MOLLIE GOODWIN by REV. JOHN A. THOMPSON. MR. HUGH N. MOORE, an old and respected citizen of Huntsville went several years ago to Mexico, Texas and died there Dec. 7. MR. JOHN C. DRAKES a worthy son of MR. JOHN R. DRAKE of this city died of consumption at Mariana a few weeks ago. An account of the accidental death of ALFRED HAMBRICK "an old and respected citizen of New Market, who we hear was going to visit his son, MR. JOSEPH M. HAMBRICK." He was killed near Brownsboro by the M. & C passenger train "last night between 1 and 2 o'clock" The deceased was about 71 years old. NORTH ALABAMA REPORTER 1875 May 29 1875 Died on Tuesday night of this week, MR. IRVIN WINDHAM after a brief illness at the ripe old age of 76. MR.
