March 8, 1825 Died in this county on 21st ult. CAPT. JOHN GRAHAM in the 71st year of his age. CAPT. GRAHAM was an officer of the Rev. and distinguished himself under that gallant sol, GEN. MARION in S.C. He was taken captive by the British and confined 8 or 10 weeks in Camden jail where he endured the privations and sufferings incident to such a confinement. After his release, he joined the American army again and continued gallantly to sustain the cause of his country thruout the war. CAPT. GRAHAM was a gentleman of amiable disposition--respected and admired by all his acquaintances. He has descended to the grave full of honors and left a numerous progeny to deplore his loss. There are few men whose descendants count so numerously. He has left 11 children, 6 sons and 5 daughters; 90 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren, 13 sons-in-law and daughters-in-law making altogether 141. March 22, 1825 Married on 13th inst. by REV. HODGINS, BYRD BRANDON, Esq. of this town to MISS MARY JANE CALDWELL of the former place. Married on 14th instant by REV. J. H. HOLLAND, MR. WILLIAM McCAY to MRS. SARAH O'RILEY, both of this place.
