Married on evening of 10th by REV. JOHN H. THOMPSON, MR. DAVID BAILEY to MISS LOUISA BLEDSOE (LOUISIANA in marriage records), both of Madison County. On Tue. evening the 15th, by REV. JAMES ROWE, MR. A(DKINSON) STEWART to MISS MARY M. WALKER, all of Huntsville. June 1, 1827 GOVERNOR ISRAEL PICKENS died in Cuba on 23. Died on 22 in 18th year, RICHARD E. PETTUS, son of MR. DAVID PETTUS of this county. State of Alabama--Limestone Co. ANDREW J. EDMONDSON, administrator of estate of ISAAC HALL, deceased. State of Alabama--Limestone Co. WILLIAM ROWNTREE, administrator of SAMUEL MITCHELL. July 13, 1827 Departed this life on evening of 4 July, MRS. KING, wife of COL. HENRY KING and daughter of MAJOR ISAAC WELLBORN...left her aged father, mother and husband and 4 small children. REV. McMAHAN will preach her funeral sermon at the residence of MAJ. ISAAC WELLBORN a half mile south of Hazlegreen on 1st Sabbath in August. Died at Florence on 27 June last, MR. DAVID COBB in his 68th year with lingering disease which he patiently laboured under for about three months and then closed his eyes with perfect resignation. He served as a faithful soldier in the Revolutionary War under GEN. DICKSON and also under GEN. CARROLL at N. Orleans, where he discharged every duty of a brave soldier in defence of his country. We have no hesitation in saying that he is now reaping the reward of his labour. September 7, 1827 Married 5th inst. by REV. ANDR. J. CRAWFORD, MR. WILLIAM D. HAYTER to MISS JANE, daughter of CAPT. WILLIAM EVANS, all of Madison Co. Died at Village Springs on Saturday last in 17th year of her age, MRS. MARTHA, wife of R. MUNSON and daughter of MAJOR DAVID CONNER. Note: St. Clair Co. Ala. Marriages: RANSOM MUNSON-MARTHA CONNER Oct. 5, 1826. He moved to Jefferson Co. Ala. & M. again. Died 28th July in Jessamine Co. Kentucky, SAMUEL H. WOODSON, Esq. of this place. JOHN WYCHE, recently from Brunswick Co. Va. informs public that he can cure stammering. November 23, 1827 Married on Sth inst. by REV. A. J. CRAWFORD, MR. GRANVILLE CRINER to MISS MARTHA BARNES, all of this county. December 7, 1827 Married Nov. 20th MR. ANDA DAVISON of Lawrence Co. to MRS. MARTHA RICE of this county. Married on 29th, MR. JOHN R. TEAGUE of this county to MISS BIDDY JONES of Limestone Co. Another Revolutionary patriot gone. Departed this life at his residence in this county, MR. SAMUEL AYERS, SR. in 81st year. Was one of MORGAN's celebrated riflemen. How long he continued in the war, the writer does not recollect to have heard him say. He was at the defeat and capture of GEN. BURGOYNE and many other battles. At the close of the war, he married and settled in Cumberland County, Va. until the fall of 1818, when at the advanced age of 72 he emigrated to this county. Left six children and several grandchildren. Richmond Enquirer please copy. Died at her father's residence near Huntsville Dec. 2, 1827 SUSAN RUFFIN, eldest daughter of WILLIAM H. T. and SUSAN C. BROWN aged 4 years and one month. Died 29th Jan. MRS. ELIZABETH ATKINSON, daughter of the late REV. A. K. DAVIS. (ISABELLA in Sou. Adv) December 15 1827 Died 15th, ISAAC LANIER in 61st year.
