January 30, 1829 Married on 22d inst. SAMUEL W(ALKER) WALTON of Lawrence Co. to MARY, daughter of GEORGE A. LOE of Madison. Married in Tuscumbia on 20th inst. ARMSTEAD BARTON to AMANDA C. COOK, daughter of CAPT. HENRY COOK, all of that place. (In Anderson Co. Tenn, there is a deed dated Apr. 10, 1832 which mentioned one ARMSTEAD BARTON "now of Ala.") February 6, 1829 Died on 29th ult. JOSHUA and JANE HIX, the former being 82 years of age and the latter 67. There were 13 hours between their deaths. Lived together 52 years and were the parents of 17 children. Natives of Ireland. February 13, 1829 Married on 2nd ult, COL. OGLESBY SCRUGGS of Madison to MRS. ANN M. HEWLETT, of Nashville (Tenn.). Died in Limestone Co. on 27th in 66th yr. JOHN MASSIE, formerly of New Kent Co. Va.
