June 26, 1834 Died on the night of the 22nd inst. WM. R., infant son of WM. R. HUNT of this place. Sale: Residence and 190 acres adjoining town of Courtland W. H. WHITAKER. Account (from Columbus, Ga. Sentinel of May 31st) of murder of BEVERLY G. G. A. LUCAS, Esq. Clerk of the Superior Court of Russell County, by CROOKS, in Macon County; the account given by one OSBORN S. ECHOLS who was with him, but escaped. A MR. BOWLES also present. Talladega County; Letters testamentary on estate of MICAJAH T. COTTEN granted 6 May 1834 to PEGGY COTTEN Executrix and A. J. COTTEN, Executor. Advertisement by SUSANNAH HUGHES for arrest of one HENRY JACKSON CARTER who with JAMES HUGHES left his residence in Carter County, Tennessee in February; was seen with CARTER at Gunters Landing. HUGHES' son returned home. Later CARTER returned, apparently prosperous, and expressed surprise that HUGHES had not arrived before him. She had heard of an unidentified body being found at Coxe's Ferry and believes it to have been that of HUGHES. Died at the residence of JOHN P. FORD in Plymouth, Mi. on 11th inst. MISS LOUISA E. T. JEFFERSON in her 16th or 17th year. State of Alabama--Jackson County. Orphans Court. 21 June 1834. Administrator of estate of LYMAN JAMES, deceased, late of said county, ordered to appear. Died in Florence on Saturday evening last after a short illness , GENERAL JOHN GRAHAN, old and respected citizen of Huntsville. RICHARD McANULTY will give a barbecue at McANULTY town. Jackson County: Sheriff will sell land of E. 0. D. PRUIT to satisfy JACOB KENNAMORE; also land of RICHARD DAVIDSON. Runaway slave committed to jail, Madison Co. by WM. R. HUNT, Jailor--says belongs to RICAHRD SYMS of Bedford County, Tennessee. July 17, 1834 Funeral of JOHN "BRAHAM"--conveyed to his farm on Sweetwater. Died on 9th inst. of scarlet fever, ROBERT PEYTON aged 4, only child of MRS. FRANCES WILDY. July 23, 1834 Married on Tuesday evening last by the REV. P. B. ROBINSON, MR. NEWTON FORD of this place to MISS APPLESS FRAZIER of this county. July 24, 1834 Died yesterday JOHN D. WALLER, member of the Huntsville Guards. July 30, 1834 Died on Friday July 11th at house of CAPT. J. STEEN in Knox County, MR. SLADE, Representative from Illinois. Jackson County; DAVID BAILEY on 28th September purchased land from WILLIAM SUBLETTE who has since died without making title; MARY SUBLETTE, the widow, is administratrix. 302 - (3602)
