Revolutionary soldier; bom in New Jersey when an infant, his father emigrated to Maryland, then to London County, Va. where he married MISS JANE EVANS, who survives him; in 1779 emigrated to Washington County, East Tennessee; in 1787 to Knox County, north of Knoxville, where he lived twenty years. In 1807, he made a partial settlement in this county; in 1808, a permanent residence here. Was a Baptist: Died on 10th of September at the residence of W. B. JOHNSON in his 68th year, WILLIE BLOUNT, Tennessee Governor. Married in this place on Wednesday last, MR. ALCUEN EASON to MISS MARTHA M., daughter of MR. WILLIAM POWERS, all of this county. September 30, 1835 Married in Marietta, Ohio on 6th inst. REV. ISAAC SHOOK, formerly of this place to MISS MARIA SHIPMAN of the former place. Died on 20th, MRS. NANCY HIGGINS, widow of the late GENERAL HIGGINS (Decatur Sentinel). By reference to our obituary head it is seen that JUDGE ISAACKS who represented this District in Congress for ten years, died at the residence of his father-in-law in Western District on 31st of August last.
