p. 36 gives ANN DANDRIDGE m. FREDERICK JAMES- 1 son- and on page 460 of ANN DANDRIDGE'S children who married, P. JAMES ....m....UTZ, FINCASTLE. One of FREDERICK W. JAMES' daughters married an UTZ in Virginia as can be seen by Cumberland County Marriage Bonds published 1931 in the D A R Magazine, giving consent of JOHN R. B. ELDRIDGE, her guardian (who was of this county). While it is possible FREDERICK JAMES was married more than once, it is also possible that this daughter is of the DANDRIDGE line. There were many of the POCAHONTAS blood among Madison County's early settlers. Died, this morning at her residence in the vicinity of this place, MRS. SARAH POSEY in the 43rd year of her age. But a few days ago we were called upon to consign to earth the last remains of her beloved husband, CAPT. JESSE H. POSEY and on the next morning the son followed his father to a premature grave.
