HAMMOND, PRISCILLA - Wife of J. C. P. Hammond and daughter of Anthony B. and Marian Shelby. Born 15 July, 1818, died 21st of Feb. (?), 1841 aged 23 yrs., 8 mo., and 6 days.
Note: John C. Purnell Hammond -M- 1st Priscilla Shelby. He was son of Capt. Eli and Mary Hammond. He -M- 2nd P. Evaline Echols 12-14-1848.
OWENS, WILLIAM PURNELL - Born April 16, 1793 - died March 9, 1822 aged 28 years, 10 months, 24 days.
BALDRIDGE, THOMAS O. - In memory of Thomas O. Baldridge. Born July 27th, 1858 and died January 10th, 1860.
BALDRIDGE, ELIZABETH C. - In memory of Elizabeth C. Baldridge, was born in Giles County, Tenn., November 3, 1815 and died in Madison County, Ala., March 19, 1866 aged 50 years, 4 months, 16 days. Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord.
BALDRIDGE, JANE C. - In memory of Jane C. Baldridge, born November 25, 1837, and died July 31(16?), 1858 aged 25 years, 8 months and 6 days. Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God. (Extremely weathered; illegible).
J. L. P. - Note: These initials were on a broken piece of stone which may have been a foot marker.
NOTE: This cemetery is on the verge of destruction as cattle are allowed to run freely over the stones. I spent one afternoon piecing the stones together like a jig saw puzzle. Sad!
