Departed this life in this county at his residence on the night of the 13th inst. of pneumonia, MR. WILLIAM PROVENCE in his 74th year. Native of Pennsylvania but in his early life emigrated to the West. In his 34th year, he embraced religion.--Methodist Society... Kind husband and father.... Departed this life on 21 Nov. 1846, DELILAH LEFTWICH, consort of JABEZ LEFTWICH (Sol of 1812) aged 80 years 8 months and 5 days. He emigrated from Bedford County, Virginia to Madison Co. Ala. in 1827 where he resided until Sept. 23, 1846 and then moved to Russel Valley, Franklin County. Labored under protracted illness 5 or 6 months... Joined Presbyterian Church in 1787 and has been an affectionate wife and tender mother.... Left numerous family of children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Departed this life on 2 December 1846, MRS. POLLY N. FLETCHER in her 66th year, of pulmonary complaint. Born in Nottoway County Virginia May, 1781 and was the relic of MR. NATHAN FLETCHER, late of Brunswick County, Va. Moved to Alabama some years since with her three sons, who settled in Limestone County, where at her son's, JOHN JAMES FLETCHER's, she closed her earthly pilgrimage.... Left an only sister, three sons and many grandchildren.... Also numerous connections.... Never belonged to any branch of the church but eminently possessed that Catholic spirit which induced her to harmonize with all. Richmond Enquirer copy. December 23, 1846 Married by REV. P. B. ALEXANDER BOTELER, Surviving adm'r versus ALEXANDER BOTELER's heirs Of ALEXANDER BOTELER's heirs, MARY CRABB, WILLIAM A. EDMUNDSON, ROBERT K. EDMUNDSON and ELIZA EDMUNDSON are non-residents. January 27, 1847 Married on the 21st by REV. R. TALAFARO, MR. DAVID M. HOBBS to MISS EMILY B., daughter of G. L. SANDIDGE, Esq. all of this county, (vol. 147 p. 57) Departed this life on Wednesday the 13th of January at the residence of his father about 8 miles Northwest of Huntsville of affection of the heart after a painful and protracted illness, GABRIEL EDWARD MOORE, second surviving son of EDWARD and JANE MOORE of Madison Co. aged about 34 years. Native of Moore County, North Carolina, where many of his surviving relatives still reside. From that state he emigrated with his father's family to Alabama and settled in Madison Co. in 1822.... Died in Madison Co., WILLIAM THOMAS and SOPHIA MARGARET, infant son and daughter of GREEN C. and LAVINIA E. BRAZLETON. The former died on the 8th of last month at 3 o'clock P.M. and the latter on the 9th at 4 o'clock, A.M. THOS, was near 21 months and SOPHIE 3 months and 10 days old. Banner of Peace please copy. (From Moulton Sentinel--Lawrence Co.). Departed this life on January 11, WILLIAM P. HODGES after a painful and protracted illness of nearly four weeks. His distressed mother, MRS. PREWIT, had but six weeks before consigned to the tomb a younger son, FRANK, who died in Triana, Madison Co. while on a visit to relations.... The deceased was 22 years old and left an affectionate wife to whom he had been wedded 5 months. February 10, 1847 Died in DeSoto County, Miss, on 2 Jan. DAVID MAXWELL, formerly a citizen of this county. March 17 , 1847 Married in Giles County, Tennessee on the 26th inst., MR. ROBERT H.
