RANDLES, JAMES BOGGESS, TIMOTHY BOGGESS, HENRY W. BOGGESS and POLLY BOGGESS et al. The defendants, TIMOTHY BOGGESS, HENRY W. BOGGESS and POLLY BOGGESS reside beyond the limits of the state. TIMOTHY BOGGESS resides in St. Francis Co. Ark. (not there in 1850 Cen) and POLLY BOGGESS in the State of Texas. PETER KILFOYLE, Register and master of said court. Substance of bill: Commissioners Court of Roads and Revenue for Marshall Co. obtained license to keep a public ferry across Tennessee River. That one JOHN S. BOGGESS and RICHARD S. RANDLES had prior to that time kept a public ferry. That JOHN S. BOGGESS has departed this life some time in the year 1842 leaving the following brothers and sisters his heirs at law towit: JAMES BOGGESS (43 T) and ELIZABETH BOGGESS intermarried with ELI CAMPBELL of Marshall Co. Ala., TIMOTHY BOGGESS who resides in St. Francis Co. Ark., HENRY W. BOGGESS and POLLY BOGGESS who reside in Texas... State of Alabama--Madison Co. Orphan's Court. Died near Somerville, Morgan County on Wednesday the 26th of March, infant daughter of WILLIAM P. and MARY L. TERRY aged 3 months and 16 days. April 7, 1847 Married on 30th inst. by REV. JAMES C. ELLIOTT, MR. NATHANIEL G. MINGES of Limestone Co. to MISS VIRGINIA DICKSON of Madison Co. (vol. 48 p. 19) April 14, 1847 ELIZABETH BELL, relict of the late THOMAS BELL of Limestone Co. departed this life on 25 March 1847. Daughter of the late JAMES IRWIN of East Tennessee. She was born January 5, 1784 in Pennsylvania. In 1802, she professed religion and joined the Presbyterian Church in Blount County, Tennessee. In 1811 or 1812 she moved to Madison County, Alabama where she united with the Cumberland Presbyterian Church at Canaan in 1814, then under the care of REV. ROBERT DONNELL who had organized a C. P. Church at that place... Slough Beat, Limestone Co. March 29, 1847. (Signed by J. P. I.) Died suddenly on the 4th inst. RICHARD M., infant son of ROBERT and JULIA J. HANCOCK of Madison Co. Ala. aged 7 months 17 days. (From Nashville Union, Mon. 27 Apr. 1841. Married at Clover Hill, Franklin Co. Tenn on evening of 16 Apr., COL. ROBERT HANCOCK of Madison Co. Ala. to MISS JULIETT JANE SHARP, dau of MAJ. RICHARD SHARP.) April 21, 1847 Died on the 9th inst. after a long and painful illness, COL. EDMUND A. WEBSTER, a well known member of the legal profession in this place and formerly a member of the Legislature and Secretary of State. Died off Tampico, Gulf of Mexico on the 7th of February last, WILLIAM A. MICHIE, a native of Madison Co. Ala. in his 19th year... Departed this life, LIEUT. JOSEPHUS J. TATUM of CAPT. DELAY'S Company of Mississippi Volunteers, aged about 24 years, native of Madison Co. Ala. where he became an artist under tutelage of his brother. In the fall of 1845 or spring of 1847, he settled in Oxford, Miss.... In May, 1846 there he joined the Volunteers for the Mexican War... Remembering the wrongs and sufferings inflicted on his brother while in chains in castle of Perote whence he had but a short time been released, 351 - (3651)
