he volunteered to avenge his brother's sufferings... He was taken sick at Monterey where his physician ordered him to return home on furlough... Since a battle was expected at Victoria, he refused to come home. At this battle, he was attacked with pleurasy which with his former sickness terminated in consumption of which he died at Linares on the 20th of January.... Bill states that WILLIAM MINOR died at his residence in Madison County, Alabama about the month of June, 1844 intestate leaving a widow SARAH MINOR and REBECCA, DANIEL, SARAH, JOANNA WHITE, FRANCES, WILLIAM R.~W. and SALUDA ANN JANE, his children. The will was admitted for probate. Said supposed will was dated at Halifax Court House, Virginia on 16 November 1832. In said will, he gave all of his estate to his widow during her natural life and on her marriage she to have such part as the law entitled her to. Said will was afterwards revoked by said WILLIAM MINOR. Bill states that he wrote on the same sheet of paper in the presence of said SARAH and several of his children these words: "This is not my will" and signed his name thereto; that since that time the half sheet containing the words of cancellation has been torn off and that it was done by said WILLIAM R. BLANKENSHIP aged 37 years leaving a wife and 4 small children. Departed this life on 13th of February last, MRS. H. A. EDWARDS, native of Madison County, Alabama.
