Died, on the 10th instant at the residence of his son in law JUDGE C(HRISTOPHER) C. GEWIN (39 NC; he m. 2 of WM. BOYD'S daus - w in 1850, was artimacy @ 21 A), CAPT. WILLIAM BOYD (53 SC) of Moulton in the 64th year of his age. March 28, 1860 Married, in Athens, Ala. on the 23rd instant by REV. J. R. PLUMMER, ARTHUR W. ROBINSON, Esq. of Huntsville to MISS REBECCA 0. WILBURN (12 A) of Athens. On the 21st instant, CHARLES J. TIPTON and MISS MARGARET A. MORROW, both of this county. On the 15th instant by REV. W. MOONEY, REV. Z. PARKER of the Tennessee Conference to MRS. LOUISA SANDERS, all of this county. On the 13th instant by REV. E. STRODE, MR. T. J. ROBERTSON to MISS MARY J. NORTHCUT (24 A; MARTHA (PEARSON) & GIDEON NORTHCUT), both of this place. In Florence, Alabama on the 20th ult. by the REV. J. H. WEAVER, MR. P0WEL W. WILLIAMS of Huntsville, Ala. to MISS ELIZABETH BUTLER of Florence. Died, on the 23rd instant, MR. HENRY C. CLARKE of the firm of SPIVEY & CLARKE of Memphis, formerly of Huntsville, aged 27 years. April 4, 1860 Died, on the 2nd instant, after a short illness, DR. JOHN D. BARNARD of this place. In Limestone County on the 26th ult. MISS REBECCA N. ELLIOTT, aged 20 years. April 11, 1860 Married on the 5th instant by REV. R. M. HUMPHREY, MR. BARNETT KING to MISS LUCINDA HOLBROOKS, all of Morgan County. In Fayetteville, Tenn. Friday the 30th ult. by REV. M. B. DeWITT, MR. JOHN L. CLARK to MISS JULIA M. O'-NEAL, both of this place. Died on March 28th at the residence of her mother MRS. HANNAH McBROOM in Ash Cove, Madison County, Ala. MRS. NANCY M. SPINEY who leaves a large family to mourn her loss. (Bible record shows NANCY M. SPIVEY (28 A) (daughter of STEPHEN and HANNAH McBROOM) died March 28, 1860, K. P. J.) In Limestone County on Friday last MR. JAMES BRANDON (27 T) aged about 36. On the 3rd ult. JAMES LATTY (90 V), an old citizen of this county in the 102nd year of his age. He was a native of North Carolina but had lived on the headwaters of Brier Fork for two generations. He volunteered in the Revolutionary War, but his father being in a helpless condition, furnished means for a substitute for his son. April 18, 1860 Married, at the Church of the Nativity in this nlace on the 7th instant by REV. R. H. COBBS, MR. JOSEPH W. KEIL and MISS LOUISA PLATT. On the 10th instant by REV. ALEXANDER PENLAND, MR. H. W. GRANTLAND and MISS LIZZIE EDWARDS, both of Triana. On the 5th instant by REV. R. M. HUMPHREY, MR. BARNETT KING to MISS LICINDA HOLBROOKS, both of Morgan County. April 25, 1860 Married on the 19th instant by REV. J. A. EDMONDSON at the residence of CAPT. MAT TODDS in Decatur, MR. GEORGE W. JOHNSON of the M & C RR to MISS VIRGINIA A. PARKER (12 A; ELIZA) of Decatur. On the 19th instant by REV. DR. ROSS, MR. JAMES P. ASHFORD of Mississippi to MISS CATTIE (CATHERINE J.) J. BRADFORD (14 A; JOS. B.) of Huntsville. Died, at his residence in Huntsville on the 20th instant, MR. MARTIN MILLER (70 Pa) at the advanced age of 80 years. 362 - (3662)
