WILLIAM HIGHTOWER, MR. G. B. FALKNER and MRS. RACHEL T. KEYES, all of Lawrence County (Moulton "Advertiser.") Died in the Big Cove, 4th September 1878 HETTIE D. (30 Kentucky) wife of JAMES L. WEBSTER (35 Alabama) in the 59th year of her age. Pulaski, Tennessee papers please copy. A dispatch was received by DR. FENNELL of Triana last Friday from Holly Springs, Mississippi. "Drs. G. M. FENNELL and J. W. FENNELL both dead." These two noble specimens of men had many relatives in this section. They stood at the post of danger. They did their duty. MRS. AMY BOLDMAN, an aged and highly esteemed member of the Methodist Church of Huntsville, died at the residence of MR. B. F. STINE in Tuscumbia last Monday. The funeral was from the Methodist church yesterday. The deceased was the wife of the late H. H. BOLDMAN and mother of MRS. JAMES A. PICKARD. MISS SOPHRONIA WHITE died five miles from this city Monday night of erysipelas and was interred in the City Cemetery yesterday. The remains of MISS SARAH H. LEWIS, daughter of MRS. JOHN H. LEWIS of Huntsville, were brought from Houston, Texas, and interred in our City Cemetery Sunday. It was found necessary to amputate the limb of MRS. CORINNE GOODMAN above the knee. DRS. SAUNDERS, ERSKINE, ROBINSON and LOWRY. In Memoriam. MRS. AMY BOLDMAN was born in Lee County, Virginia, and died in Tuscumbia September 30, 1878. She was converted and joined the Methodist Church when quite young. She leaves four daughters. W. C. HEARN, her Pastor. October 17, 1878 Decatur. MRS. W. G. GILL is dead of the fever. DR. DEAGNES of Florence is dead of the fever. JOHN RAGSDALE died at Florence a few days ago. HIRAM A. HIGGINS (15 Alabama, Lst., son of HIRAM H. HIGGINS), formerly of Athens died at National Cemetery, Tennessee of yellow fever, September 30. He was a member of WARD's Battery. ARCHIBALD STRANGE (35 Virginia; Limestone County) one of the oldest and most respected citizens of Limestone County (to Jean) died at the residence of his brother EDMUND S. STRANGE on the 8th instant. He was a native of Fluvanna County, Virginia. DR. GEORGE H. MOORE, who died of yellow fever in Memphis, was a brother of the late GEN. SYDENHAM MOORE of this state. MR. JONATHAN FISHER (38 Virginia, Limestone County) who came here from Decatur on Wednesday died Saturday night at the residence of MARSHALL BAKER in this city, of yellow fever. He was 67 years of age. There was not a kinder, more honest man in North Alabama than MR. FISHER. His wife has the sympathy of all. He was a native of Virginia. Died of apoplexy, in Huntsville, Thursday the 10th of October 1878 WORLEY WHITE (33 North Carolina; WHORLEY on tombstone--WORLEY in census) in his 65th (tombstone says 60th) year. He was a native of the State of North Carolina and moved to Huntsville about 40 years ago. Unmarried. In Memoriam. MARY ELLETT. She laid her down in peace September 5, 1878...a Carolinean by birth but for many years a resident of Madison County.... To her children she was all that made life lovely--let this be balm to the hearts of her children and grandchildren. 384 - (3684)
