NICIE RODGERS (volume 76, page 12), widow of MR. ROBERT RODGERS. She was born in 1814, married in 1831, and in 1859 joined the Cumberland Presbyterian Church. April 8, 1885 Married at Madison at the residence of the bride's mother, MRS. BETTIE FLOYD PERKINS, MR. WILLIE T. DOUGLASS of Marshall County, Alabama to MISS LILLIE PERKINS. April 15, 1885 Florence Gazette, April 11. With deep regret we announce the death of MR. JACKSON VAN BUREN RICE (18 in Alabama, Morgan County, son of GREEN P.) which occurred Saturday morning. HARRISON, SR. died this morning at his home in this city in his 56th year. He was born near Viena and lived in Madison County nearly all his life. He filled the offices of County Commissioner and Tax Collector. About a year ago he affiliated himself with the Cumberland Presbyterian Church. He leaves a widow and six children. We were grieved to hear last week of the sudden death of MR. W. G. LAXSON (30 in Tennessee) of New Market, while quietly seated in his chair, his wife reading to him. MR. LAXSON was an old, esteemed, and valuable citizen, long a resident of Madison County. SLOSS at the residence of JOSEPH H. SLOSS, Esq. She leaves a devoted young husband. June 17, 1885 MRS. CAROLINE HORTON and daughter MISS ANNA of Aberdeen, Mississippi are visiting the family of DR. J. J. DEMENT. We learn with regret of the death of MR. PETER WHITE last Saturday at his home in Bell Green. He was Editor of the Franklin County News and a native of Lawrence County, aged 43 years.
