March 7, 1885 Died in Huntsville, Alabama February 28 NICHOLAS DAVID in his 31st year. As a son he was perfection, as a husband he was gallant, tender and true, and as a father he was affectionate; the Bar has lost its brightest member. (Half a column of obituary, and three columns of resolutions.) A historical sketch of Huntsville started, and continued. March 28, 1885 Died, MRS. FANNIE TAYLOR, wife of MAJOR FELIX TAYLOR at the residence of her daughter, MRS. W. G. TAYLOR in Memphis, Saturday March 21, 1885, of consumption, aged 45. The funeral took place from the residence of her father MR. JOSHUA H. BEADLE Sunday, March 22nd, conducted by the REV. F. J. TYLER. REV. HERMON HUMPHREY of the Methodist Episcopal Church South died at Troy, Alabama March 23, 1885. He was a brilliant scholar, of deep learning, and profoundly devout. MRS. MARGARET ROBINSON, wife of MR. WALTER B. ROBINSON and daughter of JUDGE WILLIAM H. MOORE, died at the residence of her sister MRS. JENNIE CONNOR at Macon, Georgia March 20, 1885 aged 33. April 4, 1885 The History of Huntsville says schools were here as early as 1807... about the time WYATT BISHOP taught a school here, and MRS. POSEY about the same time. In 1819 MRS. SARAH McCAY established a school. In 1850 there was a disastrous fire... including the handsome hotel known as the Caldwell House, and in 1855 another consumed the Bell Tavern. May 9, 1885 T. E. CAIN of Lake Charles, Louisiana is visiting his family in Madison. MRS. DR. DAVID MALONE has left for Hurrican_Springs, Tennessee owned by her son-in-law MR. IKE MILLER. May 16, 1885 Died at his residence in Huntsville May 13 MR. PERRY L. HARRISON in his 56th year; he was born and reared in Madison County, a noble husband, indulgent and kind father. PERRY HARRISON and MISS MAMIE VAUGHAN were married in Pulaski, Tennessee last Monday.
