March 29, 1822 Died in the neighborhood of Huntsville at the residence of MR. WILLIAM B. HARRIS on the morning of 22nd of March MISS CAROLINE M. GILLASPIE in the 17th year of her age, daughter of MRS. FRANCES GILLASPIE of Franklin County, Tennessee. September 6, 1822 Died in this county on Friday the 30th ult. MR. WILLIAM LAMKIN in the 49th year of his age. (Note: wife was ROSANNAH WOODS, married December 4, 1798 in Washington County, Tennessee. He was son of WM. and JANE (MOORE) LAMKIN. See Genealogy and History. April 1940) Died near Huntsville on Wednesday the 4th instant MRS. ELIZABETH BADLUN aged 43, the wife of MRS. WILLIAM BADLUN. Died on 26th of August at his residence in Tuscaloosa, COL. JOHN JOHNSON INGE, a member of the Alabama Bar and a native of North Carolina. September 13, 1822 Married in this town on 3rd instant by REV. DAVID THOMPSON, MR. JIHN MARTIN to MISS CLARINDA GLASGOW, daughter of the late COLONEL JAMES GLASGOW of Tennessee. September 20, 1822 Died on the 27th at Sulphur Springs in Blount County, Alabama, WILLIAM DUNN, Esq. , Judge of the County Court of said county--a useful and enterprising man and a pious Christian. September 27, 1822 Died in this county on Friday the 20th, COLONEL LITTLEBERRY ROBINSON, an old and respectable resident of this county (widow was PAULINE--children: JOHN, MARTHA, WM., CHERRY married RODAH H_____, FANNY married JOHN DICKERSON; CHERRY dead in 1834). (In Volume 35, page 11, change that date on LITTLEBERRY ROBINSON to 1822. You show the paper just before this as 1822, and I am positive it is a typographical error, as in ORc 2, page 362 24 September 1822. LITTLEBERRY ROBINSON, late of this county, has died without will and the widow of said deceased has waived her right of administration on said estate and signified to the court her wish that WILLIAM PATTON should administer in her place. (Bond, $50,000, with HENRY COOK and RODAH HORTON, securities.) Also...that tombstone of EZEKIEL MOORE and wife MARY JONES (its page 84 of the T/S volume, and I think is in some others too, was copied by either H or BOYCE while on a survey--and 1855 is wrong--it's 1852, for her administrator was appointed then and the PSL says she died April, 1852, when TS says May. The 1852 newspaper notes don't list either her death or that of WM. ROBINSON; I guess they weren't subscribers.) At Coosawda, Alabama Monday the 9th instant, MISS CAROLINE HITCHCOCK after an illness of 18 days, which terminated in typhus fever. Died while on a visit at St. Stephens (Washington County) the much lamented MR. DAVIS H. MAHEW, Rector of the Coosawda Academy and formerly of Hampshire County, Massachusetts. At Cahawba (Dallas County) on Monday evening, September 9th, COL. ROBERT H. DRAUGHON of Claiborne (Monroe County).
