July 29, 1875 Married in this city Tuesday, July 27, 1875 by MOYER MURPHY, MR. JOHN NEELY and MISS BELLE JOHNSON, both of Huntsville. Died in this county on 24 after a brief illness of brain fever, MR. JAMES C. DAVIS, son of COL. WM. DAVIS of New Market. MRS. SUSAN KNOW (52 in Virginia), relict of the late DAVID KNOX (56 in Delaware), one of the oldest citizens of Huntsville died on 26th at residence of her son-in-law MR. JOHN T. PATTERSON of this city on her 77th birthday. MRS. TRECY, mother of REV. FATHER J. F. TREECY, died in this city on 26th aged 84. DR. A. M. BARCLAY died at his residence near Triana in this county on 21st. Obituary of LUCY RUBLEE. Obituary of NASHVILLE MALONE; born Caswell County, North Carolina January 2, 1800, died at his residence in the vicinity of Huntsville on July 1, 1875 aged 75 years 6 months. Was 18 when he came to Madison County, Alabama. Successful farmer.... August 5, 1875 Died, LUKE MATTHEWS, one of the oldest citizens of Huntsville at his residence in this city Monday evening last in his 79th year. August 12, 1875 Golden wedding of ELLIS MURPHREE (48 in Alabama) and wife JINNIE MURPHREE (45 in South Carolina) July 20 in Murphree's Vallen, Blount County, Alabama. Among those present were REV. DeFOREST ALLGOOD and JEREMIAH ELLIS and MRS. PATSEY ELLIS, who were witnesses of their marriage. MRS. ALLGOOD, who is their step-mother, who is 93 was present with them together with 18 children, sons, sons-in-law, daughters-in-lay, 40 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. All grandchildren present except 3 who are in Texas. August 19, 1875 Died, MR. BRIANT REEDY (72 in Tennessee), one of oldest citizens at the residence in this vicinity on Monday morning last aged about 75. August 26, 1875 A. SIDNEY"BEASLEY, son of DR. JAMES A. BEASLEY (35 in Virginia) of this city died at LaGrange (Fayette County), Tennessee on 18th. Remains brought to Huntsville and buried in Huntsville Cemetery Sunday last. Aged about 20. MISS MOLLIE MUDD, daughter of JUDGE MUDD died at Blount Springs on Sunday last of consumption aged 21. September 2, 1875 Died of consumption at the residence of MR. T. M. (FRANCIS M.?) SANFORD (18 in Tennessee) on August 11, MISS MARGARET SANFORD (16 in Alabama; JOHN) aged 35. Of asthma, near Brownsboro Thursday August 26, MR. BYRON SKELTON (41 in Alabama; heir of SAMPSON SKELTON) aged 65. Near New Market, Alabama August 30th, 1875, MRS. M(ARTHA) WOODSON MOORE, wife of MR. WM. H(ENDERSON) MOORE and youngest daughter of MR. ISAAC CRINER. September 9, 1875 Died in this city on the 5th of congestive chill, WILLARD SAWYER aged about 20 years. September 16, 1875 Death of a former highly esteemed citizen of this county, a native in fact, MR. JAMES Q(UINN) DILLARD (34 in Tennessee), father of our respected citizen, HENRY DILLARD (14 in Alabama) died at his residence in Aberdeen, Mississippi on the 4th in his 60th year. MR. DILLARD was a former resident of Triana. September 30, 1875 MRS? ANNIE BUSSEY, wife of REV. B. W. BUSSEY, Pastor of the Baptist Church in this city died Friday night last after a long and 445 - (3745)
