HUNTSVILLE WEEKLY INDEPENDENCE DR. WILLIAM TYLER YOUNG bom in James City County, Virginia November 7, 1796, died... (I found that death notice.) 1852. He married ELLEN GORDON STEWART born November 11, 1800, died April 4, 1849. (doesn't quite agree with date we have, in a May 4th paper, saying she died the 2nd.) She was born in Petersburg, Virginia. She was daughter of ROBERT STEWART born in Scotland April 4, 1756, died in Madison County, Alabama November 17, 1840. He married AMY GOODWIN RAINES bom January 14, 1773 in Sussex County, Virginia, died October 7, 1840, Madison County, Alabama., The STEWARTS were apparently living with DR. YOUNG in 1830. DR. YOUNG died at house of CHAS. E. COLLIER, he was apparently father of AMY RAINES COLLIER who married WM. HY PICKETT. JAMES EDWARD COLLIER, I believe it was, married ELIZABETH GOODWYN STEWART... sounds very much as if they were sisters of ELLEN GORDON, doesn't it? I don't find ROBERT STEWART in the S's. Is he on the master index? Probably buried in Collier graveyard as not found in Triana. Make a note--DR. WM. T. YOUNG was WM. TYLER YOUNG from Augusta, Georgia. His daughter ELLEN T. married JOHN JAMES WARD...folks from Chatt hunting them the other day...she was a lovely person. Just started it recently and having loads of fun. She was all thrilled over 447 - (3747)
