PHILIPS Company of Artillery and their legal representatives are informed that on authority of papers intrusted to my charge, I have obtained patents for their bounty land, situated in Arkansas Territory. Not knowing by laws of the Territory their lands will at a certain period be liable to be sold for the taxes, I have thought proper to convey to those interested the above information." May 10 1825 EZEKIEL CRAFT, county treasurer JAMES B. CRAIGHEAD and H. ORLANDO ALDEN, law partners DAVID T. KNOX, watchmaker September 2, 1825 Departed this life Tuesday the 30th ult., MR. QUENTIN MARSHALL, aged about 23 years. Deceased, we are informed was a native of Prince Edward County, Virginia from whence he removed in the year 1822 to this place, where he has been engaged in the mercantile line up until his death. He was a Mason. September 16 1825 Married on the evening of Wednesday the 7th instant at the house of DAVID MUNRO, Esq. by REV. MR. THOMPSON, JOHN T. DISMUKES, Esq. of Davidson County, Tennessee to MISS ANN MUNRO, daughter of WILLIAM MUNRO of Florence, Alabama. Died of cramp on the 28th ult. ELIZABETH, daughter of MAJ. M. W. WEAVER in her 7th year. October 7, 1825 Married at Pulaski, Tennessee on Friday the 23rd by REV. MR. DAVENPORT, MR. JAMES M. MOORE to MISS ARABELLA JONES, daughter of MAJ. WILLIAM JONES, all of this county. Departed this life on the 26th ult. at 10 minutes to 9 a.m. and in 26th year of his age, at residence of REV. BOOTH MALONE of Limestone County, the REV. ARTHUR McCLURE, who fell a victim of an inflammatory billious fever.... He was a man of superior talents. He sustained the office of an itinerant preacher with great acceptibility, a Methodist. He was far from parent or brother. September 30, 1825 Departed this life Saturday morning September 24, at her residence in this place, MRS. BROWN, aged about 75. She left behind many relatives and friends. REV. JOHN ALLAN preached her funeral sermon etc. October 21, 1825 Married at the residence of MR. JAMES JACKSON at Florence the 12th ult, by the REV. S. WALL, MR. ALEXANDER POPE, merchant to MISS ANN HANNA of Lauderdale County. 454 - (3754)
