LEWIS, formerly of this place. December 1, 1826 Died at his father's residence in Madison County on 18th instant EZEKIAH HERVY WEBB EASTLAND, aged 7 months, youngest son of MAJ. JOSEPH EASTLAND. February 16, 1827 Died 31 ult at residence in Madison County, MR. JOEL W. JONES in 40th year of age, formerly of Buckingham County, Virginia. Left wife and 5 children. Died at residence in Lawrence County 30 ult. MATTHEW CLAY, Esq. native of Virginia. Bom of wealth. A few years since, he emigrated to Alabama. Was a member of the legislature. Died at Mooresville on 19th ult. MRS. ELIZABETH, wife of COL. G(RIFFIN) LAMKIN. Note: She was BETSY CLARK daughter of JAMES and SUSAN said they married December 24, 1800. Died near Vicksburg, Mississippi 19th BEVERLY HUGHES, Esq. March 30, 1827 Married on the 8th in Limestone County (see letter from MRS. LOUISE S. CHELF, Roanoke), by REV. JOHN THOMPSON, CAPT. WILLIAM EASTLAND of this county to MISS ANN P(ANNEL) BRONOUGH. (she was daughter of SAML and NANCY (MASSIE) BRONAUGH) Married Tuesday evening last by REV. HENRY SALE, MR. JAMES W. DRAKE of Athens to MISS HONORA G. R00TES of this county. (volume 133, page 9--1 marriage record says married 27 March 1827; one says 8 May 1827) Died Thursday morning last in this place, MRS. ROSANNA FEENEY in her 74th year. April 6, 1827 Married Thursday the 29th by REV. JAMES ROWE, MR. IRVIN WINDHAM to MISS ANN BADLIN ("BADLUM" in marriage records) of this place (note: BADLIN written "SADLUN" in Huntsville Democrat. P.J.G.) Died at Athens, Alabama on 24th, DR. JOHN R. BEDFORD of Lauderdale County. He died suddenly and before his afflicted wife, who hastened upon hearing of his dangerous illness, could reach him. Remains brought to his plantation and interred in family burial ground on Monday the 26th. Left a widow and children. For many years ,he was an eminent practitioner of medicine, his latter days devoted to management of his extensive mercantile business, formerly of house of BEDFORD and MACKEY, and until his death, connected with the firm of BEDFORD, BREEDLOVE and ROBESON of New Orleans.... Died at Red Oak Flat in this county on the 31st, CATHARINE FRANCES, youngest daughter of MAJ. ROBERT WALTON, aged 11 months. Death of MR. JOHN M'ALISTER, merchant of Franklin (Williamson County), Tennessee, formerly a resident of Jonesboro (Washington County), East Tennessee. Drowned in Barren River near Bowlinggreen, Kentucky on night of 26th...(Nashville Republican). State of Alabama--Jefferson County. BENJAMIN MATTISON, administrator of estate of BENJAMIN S. SIMS, deceased. April 27, 1827 Married on 11th at Spring Grove, Madison County, HENLY DRUMMOND, Esq. to MISS MARY, 2nd daughter of CAPT. WILLIAM MUNROE. BRADLEY of Mooresville to MISS SUSAN M. daughter of WILLIAM FISHER, of Limestone County. Died at Whitesburg on the 18th, ROBERT BEATTIE, a native of Dumfriesshire, Scotland aged 34....
