January 18, 1828 Married on Tuesday evening last by REV. J. W. ALLEN, MR. MARTIN WEATHERLY (57 in Virginia) of this place (Talladega County 1850) to MISS MARTHA (42 in Alabama), daughter of MR. SPENCER BALL of this county. Note: From HAYDEN's Virginia Genealogies page 143. "W. H. WEATHERLY, Anniston, Alabama writes: 'MOSES BALL born ca. 1740-50 had a son SPENCER, whose daughter MARTHA says he was bom ca. 1770. MARTHA was born 1808, living 1889. They moved 1820-30 from Alexandria, Virginia to Alabama. MARTHA married ---------- WEATHERLY and had the writer, W. H. WEATHERLY."' Died at his residence in this county on 12th instant, MR. JOB KEY in his 62nd year. Had been a citizen of Madison County for many years and was highly respected by his neighbors as an honest, upright man. As a husband and father...etc. February 6, 1828 Deed of trust dated on 17 January 1825 and recorded in Madison County also in Blount County by LUTHER MORGAN, ANN C. MORGAN, SAMUEL D. MORGAN, MATILDA MORGAN, CALVIN C. MORGAN, HENRIETTA MORGAN, ALEXANDER G. MORGAN, and AMERICA MORGAN, land in Blount Springs, 320 acres. Died on 22nd at her father's residence in Limestone County after a lingering and painful illness, ELIZABETH FIGURES COE, eldest daughter of MAJOR JESSE COE in her 18th year. On Wednesday evening the 27th instant, MR. WM. M. WILBURN to MISS NANCY L. daughter of MR. RICHARD FORD. (volume 153, page 25) On the same evening, MR. WM. McDOWELL, merchant of this place to MISS PRISCILLA WITHERS of this county (volume 48, page 11). March 7, 1828 Departed this life on 23rd ult after a sudden and short illness, MRS. ELIZABETH consort of MR. JAMES COLLIER of this county.... March 21, 1828 Married Wednesday last by RICHARD B. PURDOM, MR. HUBBARD H. FENNELL to MISS MARY SMITH, all of this county (volume 122, page 2; 1850 Marshall County he 43 in Virginia) April 4, 1828 State of Alabama--Madison County. JESSE CHILDRESS (son of DAVID), deceased. April 25, 1828 -----Married on 22nd by REV. JAMES W. ALLEN, DR. DAVID SPECK to MISS MARTHA, daughter of THOMAS HUMES, Esq. all of this place (volume 103, page 57) Died on 15th in this place, WILLIAM M'BROOM, Esq. of Huntsville, former sheriff of Madison County. He was on his way to New Orleans two days previous to his death he reached the Florence Hotel from aboard the Steam Boat Friendship in extreme ill health. Medical aid was called and every possible attention paid him without effect (Florence Gazette) May 9, 1828 Died on Wednesday night the 7th after a lingering illness of 20 months, MR. ALEX.
