May 16, 1828 State of Alabama--Jackson County. April Term 1828. JOHN 0. BURTON, sheriff and administrator of SOLOMON COLLINS, deceased. May 23, 1828 Departed this life on Saturday morning the 17th about 2 o'clock MR. FRANCIS C. LEWIS in his 19th year.... Died on Monday evening last, MRS. MARY, consort of DAVID URQUHART, Esq. in 28th or 29th year. In Meridianville, on Saturday 10th, JAMES ASA, son of ROBERT J. MANNING aged 2 years 7 months. June 13, 1828 Died on 1st in vicinity of this place, MRS. ELIZABETH consort of JOHN HAYS after a short but severe illness. Left a husband and 5 children. Member of Methodist Church. June 27, 1828 Died in this town Tuesday the 27th ult. MRS. LUCINDA P. BIRDSEYE, consort of MR. EZEKIEL BIRDSEYE, merchant in her 33rd year. Native of Cornwall, Connecticut, where she resided much esteemed, until about 2 years ago, when she accompanied her husband to this place. July 4, 1828 Died in Triana on the 25th, SARAH FRANCES, youngest daughter of EDWARD W. PARKER. Died in this place Sunday last, MRS. MARTHA ANN PAYNE ELY consort of HENRY B. ELY, formerly of Campbell City, Virginia aged 23 years. Lynchburg, Virginia papers please copy. Died on Friday the 20th at house of MR. CLAIBORNE SAUNDERS in county of Lawrence, COL. WILLIAM W. PARHAM after a brief but truly distressing illness in his 34th year. Native of Brunswick County, Virginia but greater portion of his life was spent in southwest country having emigrated to Tennessee before he had fairly attained manhood. After spending a few years in Nashville, he removed to this state in the year 1812, established the first paper ever published in Huntsville, was one of the earliest citizens of Tuscumbia, and has resided here constantly for the 10 years past.... ALFRED MOORE, leaving a bereaved husband and 7 small children. July 25, 1828 Married by REV. JAMES WALLER on evening of 23rd instant, MR. LAWRENCE S.
