June 12, 1829 Married at Triana on Wednesday, 3rd instant by REV. MR. PERRIN, MR. RICHARD B. FARRINGTON to MISS SARAH ANN PARKER, all of this county. June 26, 1829 Died at Belmina, the residence of THOMAS BIBB, Esq. in Limestone County on the morning of the 17th, CAPT. ROBERT THOMPSON in his 76th year. Born and educated in Amelia County, Virginia; at an early age joined a band of patriots who fought for and finally obtained liberty of their country. The Revolutionary struggle being over, he emigrated to Petersburg, Georgia where he engaged in active life...from thence at an early day, he moved to this county.... Died on 28 May in Hamilton, Ohio after a protracted illness, JOHN CLEVES SYMMES, author of Theory of Open Poles and Concentric Spheres. July 3, 1829 Married Tuesday evening the 30th by REV. JOHN M. TAYLOR, DOCT. FLEMMING JORDAN to MISS LUCY JANE M. MOORE, daughter of WILLIAM H(ARVIE) MOORE, Esq. all of this county. July 24, 1829 Died in this town Thursday the 16th after a painful illness of nearly 8 months, MRS. FANNY PATTESON (see tombstone born May 6, 18--; died July 16, 18--), consort of BENJAMIN PATTESON, Esq. in her 29th year. (1st wife--they married in Nashville December 21, 1818. He married 2--SARAH ANN SANDE (faded) . She is buried in Maple Hill-born 6 May 1800; died July 16, 1829) October 16, 1829 Died on Wednesday the 7th of October at % past 11 o'clock p.m. at her husband's residence near Bellefonte, Jackson County, MRS. JANE E. BARKER in the 23rd year of her age and consort of MR. ELIAS BARKER ("BARBER” in Huntsville Democrat“"BARBER in 1840 Jackson County) from Fauquier County. Virginia. (his tombstone says BARBER) On Monday the 28th ult. at Blount Springs after an illness of three months, MRS. HARRIOT HOWARD aged 26 years, consort of MR. LUKE HOWARD of Tuscumbia. County Court of Madison County, Alabama. WILLIAM H. CAMPBELL, one the administrators of THOMAS HART, deceased. JOHN HARDIE, administrator of JEPTHE BEAKEY, deceased. October 23, 1829 Died on the 24th of September at JUDGE MARTIN'S on Coosawatie, in the 28th year of his age, GEORGE W. M'GEHEE, Professor of Mathematics in the University of Georgia. Received his appointment in August and with his family was returning from Pulaski, Tennessee where he formerly resided, to take up his permanent residence in Athens, Georgia. Attacked with a violent fever in Cherokee Nation to which was subsequently added jaundice. Left an amiable and interesting widow and an orphan son. October 30, 1829 Died in this county on Monday the 19th instant after a short illness, MRS. PARMELA DRAKE, consort of MR. ANDREW DRAKE aged 42 years, leaving a husband and 8 children.
