Died on Sunday the 13th ult. at his father's residence in Madison County in his 33rd year, MAJOR SHUBAL STEARNS WELLBORN of Jackson County, Alabama. Plain, intelligent, upright citizen...member of our last legislature from Jackson County. Firm Republican. Affectionate husband. Severely afflicted for last nine months with a pulmonary affection. Had been in delicate health for several years...a loving wife and affectionate mother. Had been married nearly 27 years. Leaves a husband and 10 children.
