October 15, 1844 Married October 1, 1844 by REV. MR. LAPSLEY at the residence of COL. ROBERT WEAKLEY, REV. WILLIAM FRED M'REE of Selma to MISS ANN ELIZA, daughter of the late GENERAL JOHN BRAHAN of North Alabama. Died at the residence in Huntsville in her 38th year, MRS. SARAH consort of GEN. B. M. LOWE. Died in Knoxville, Tennessee on 5th instant COL. MATTHEW McCLUNG in his 49th year; brother of our townsman, COL. McCLUNG and much respected. October 25, 1-844 Married in Marshall County on 6th instant by REV. J. W. JAMES, MR. JEROME C. CORNELL to MISS MARY C. FIELDS. Died in this place on morning of 20th instant NANCY C. WALSH, native of Dublin, Ireland, aged about 45. For many years past, has been a citizen of this country and this place. A musician well-known over the south. JOSEPH McCALEB, formerly of Madison County to MISS MARY JANE, daughter of HENRY ROACH of Jackson County. Died at Loweville in this county on Friday the 18th instant ELIZABETH THOMPSON, relict of JOHN THOMPSON, Esq. of that place in her 53rd year. Ill nine days. November 8, 1844 Died at the residence of MAJOR SAM RAGLAND in this county on 18th instant, JOHN E. son of THOMAS and RHODA SHESHANE in his 20th year. Died in Morgan County on 21st, JAMES M. BOULDIN. Died on 11th instant ANDREW ARMSTRONG aged 53, an old settler of Lawrence County. November 29, 1844 Married on 31 of October by REV. N. R. GARRETT, JOHN S. KENNEDY, Esq. of Florence to MISS MARY E. KENNEDY of Marshall County, Mississippi (Holly Springs Guard). Died in Texas on 26th of September, MR. JOHN BRADLEY, formerly of this place and late a prisoner in Mexico.
