Died at residence of her husband in this county on 16 September 1847, MRS. MARTHA JANE EAST, wife of ALEXANDER H. EAST and daughter of JAMES GORDAN, aged 18-5-10. October 9, 1847 Died on 23rd ult. at his residence on Mountain Fork in this county, ALFRED CRINER (oldest son of ISAAC and NANCY (McCAIN) CRINER), a worthy and exemplary man, leaving a widow and four children and a large family connection to mourn his loss. November 6, 1847 Died in Memphis, Tennessee on the way to his home in Texas on 24th ult., COL. PEYTON S. WYATT, formerly of this county, and well-known by most of our citizens. He was well noted for his fine social qualities, warm feelings and generous nature. Married on Thursday the 4th by REV. S. S. MOODY, MR. SAMUEL J. SHANKLIN to MISS LUCY ANN, daughter of WM.
