On same evening, MR. SAMUEL WHITFIELD to MISS MARGIA, daughter of COL. THOMAS BRANDON. On 18th, MR. ROBERT WILLIAMSON of Tuscumbia to MRS. ELIZA MARTIN daughter of GOV. McVAY of Lauderdale. On 18th, DR. THOMAS MATTINGLY (32 in D.C.) to MISS FRANCIS WALKER (19; daughter of PETER), both of Florence. On 18th, MR. J. H. THOMAS of Florence to MISS AVERY ANN BLASSENGAME of Moulton. Died on 11th of cholera on board of the Saxon near Byou Sara, MR. WILLIAM ARTHUR JONES, formerly of this place. Died while on his way to Texas where he had recently settled. Amiable young man. LEWIS (30 in Alabama) aged 30 years 11 months and 8 days, death occasioned by wound received December 21, 1846 in the battle of Monterey. MEMPHIS EAGLE Died at 3 o'clock on the morning of 24th, MISS MARIA F. PICKETT, second daughter of MRS. ANN F. PICKETT of this city. Accidentally came in contact with flame of candle and was burned to death.... Died recently in Jackson County, REV. THOMAS M. KING (57 in Georgia), an old and well known citizen. 506 - (3806)
