Died on Sunday 22 August at the house of a near relation in Columbus, Ohio of pulmonary consumption, DAVID REEVE ARNELL of Columbia, Tennessee after a lingering illness. Died in Courtland August 31, MISS MARY A. (18 in Alabama) eldest daughter of MR. J(OHN) M. (52 in Virginia) and MRS. CYNTHIA A. SWOOPE (38 in Georgia) aged 31 years. Census of 1850 shows MARY A. aged 18, born in Alabama; JOHN M. SWOOPE aged 52, born in Virginia; CYNTHIA 38 in Georgia. Died on 23 August 1852 at his father's residence in Lawrence County. WILLIAM GREENBERRY ALEXANDER in his 23rd year. Died in Decatur on the 27th, CELIA MALVINA aged 9 months and 13 days and on the 3rd, DANIEL GRIFFITH aged 2 years 4 months 15 days, daughter and son of JOSHUA and MARY COLLIER. Died of measles and whooping cough. Died at his residence in Morgan County August -----, MAJ. JOHN ORR for many years a citizen of this county (Census of 1850 shows him 63, bom in Georgia) . Died in Decatur on 2nd, MRS. JULIA CRIDER. September 15, 1852 Married on the 4th in Centenary Church, Richmond, Virginia, by REV. JOHN EARLY, D.D., THOMAS H. HOBBS, Esq. of Athens, Alabama to MISS INDIANA E. BOOTH of the former place. (1850 Census shows THOMAS H. HOBBS aged 22, bom in Alabama) Married in Limestone County on 29 August by JOHN A. JOHNSON, Esq WILLIAM R. CHRISTOPHER to MISS LUCY VINSON. (Census of 1850 shows him 28 in Virginia; her 18 in Alabama; volume 205, page 57) Married on Thursday, 2nd. at the residence of MR. DONALD, Lawrence County, by REV. A. PENLAND, DR. A. W. BENTLEY of Court land to MISS JULIA B. PETERS of Litchfield, Connecticut. (Note: This is ALEXANDER WILLIS BENTLEY, son of EFFORD and ELIZABETH (GAY) BENTLEY; EFFORD BENTLEY was a Revolutionary soldier, who died in Madison County, Alabama. This was the second marriage of A. She was bom April 29, 1812 and her parents married February 20, 1810, he Surry County, Virginia; PHOEBE JOHNSON, great-grandson of SEABORN J. WILKINSON died June 6, 1826, Limestone County at 112 according to JANE BIBB) Died in Madison County at the residence of ALCUIN EASON, Esq., MISS MINERVA MARIAH POPE aged about 22 years.
