Died on 26th, MR. JOSEPH CAROTHERS, an old and worthy citizen of this place, leaving a large family. (Census of 1850 shows him 52 in North Carolina) Died on 26th, JANE ANN, infant daughter of B. C. and CATHERINE MOORE aged 2-2-4. Died at his residence in Jackson County recently, MR. W. A. CHANDLER. Died on 16th at residence of her son in Lauderdale County, Mississippi, MRS. SARAH, consort of ROBERT SIMPSON aged 82 years 2 months. Presbyterian for 40 years...left numerous friends and relatives. October 6, 1852 Married at the residence of JOHN TURRENTINE, Esq. on the 23rd by REV. S. W. MOORE, DR. GEORGE FORD to MISS N. JANE HIGGINS all of Athens, (volume 205, page 59; Fayetteville (Tennessee) Observer October 7, 1852) Died September 14th at the residence of COL. MATT T(HOMAS) CHUNN (grandson of LAUNCELOTHER, son of LAUNCELOT, JR.) in Morgan County, his wife, MRS. CHARITY STRATFORD CHUNN, daughter of the late ELISHA BENN, SEN. and ELIZABETH STRATFORD BELL of the same place. She was bom in Camden, South Carolina July 24, 1818, from which place her parents moved to North Alabama while she was quite young.... Died at Spring Dale. Mississippi on 10 September, the infant child of JESSE ADDINGTON aged 2 weeks and 18 hours. Died in Athens on 24 September, BENJAMIN F. ROBERTS, Esq. aged about 23. October 13, 1852 Married on 3rd at Mooresville. Alabama (volume 205, page 59) by SHIRLEY TISDALE, Esq., J(AMES) B. HOLLINGSWORTH to MISS SARAH E. OLIVER. (1850 Census shows her 18 in Virginia; daughter of MORDICA OLIVER) Died on 25th, MR. WILLIAM TIMMINS, one of the oldest residents of Fayetteville, Tennessee. Died in Athens on the 3rd, ROBERT WILSON, son of ALEXANDER and SUSAN RODGERS aged about 4 years. Died in Athens on 30th. WILLIAM J. RICHARDSON of the firm of SLOSS, RICHARDSON and Company. Died on the 8th. HENRY, infant son of DR. L. B. and ELIZABETH W. SHEFFEY of this place. October 20, 1852 Died on 25 September at the residence of COL. NAT TERRY in Limestone. MILTON WALKER JONES, infant son of JOHN M. and CORNELIA JONES aged nearly 7 months. Died on 25 September last, JOHN E., infant son of A. L. and MARY S. LOGAN aged 12 months 21 days. Died in Decatur on 14th, COL. JAMES L. DANCEY. (1850 Census shows him aged 36. bom in North Carolina) Died on 11th, infant child and only son of WOODWARD and TEMANDRIC (LEMANDRA in Census) BAUGHER aged about 12 months. October 27. 1852 Married on-18th by REV. R. W. CRUTCHER, MR. LOGAN R. GLOVER to MISS MARY JANE McELHANEY--all of this county. On 20 instant by REV. MR. CRUTCHER, MR. DAVID GILHART of Limestone County to MISS ELIZABETH ANN PETTUS of this county. Died. EDWIN J. RUSSELL at residence of his father in Limestone County on 4th instant. Born July 8, 1830. MRS. JANE BAKER, relict of the late CAPT. WM. BAKER of Madison County, Alabama died on 30th August last after a painful illness of 11 days at residence of her son. T.
