ELISA ANN BISHOP aged 43 years 6 months 28 days. Member of Presbyterian Church for number of years. Kind and affectionate mother and highly respected by all who knew her. In Hinds County, Mississippi on 4, MRS. PAMELIA HOPKINS, wife of JUDGE ARTHUR F. HOPKINS of this city (Mobile Tribune). Died in Limestone County on 9th instant MRS. BETTY PIERCE aged 75, both from Forsyth County, Georgia emigrating west. Died on the 8th at his residence near Jackson, Mississippi after an illness of several weeks, COL. JOHN J. LOCKHART, formerly a citizen of North Alabama. Departed this life on 2nd instant, MRS. MARY ANN TRUE, wife of MR. ROBERT TRUE of Madison County, Alabama. MRS. TRUE having been left an orphan when quite young, was principally raised and educated by MRS. HARRIET BOYD, sister of the late DR. ALLAN of Huntsville. MRS. BOYD bestowed upon her all a mother's care and pains in the cultivation of both her mind and morals and MARY ANN, having the inclination and capacity to receive and appreciate both and possessing inherently an amiable, modest and unassuming disposition was, when matured in age, a most lovely and interesting young lady... Cumberland Presbyterian Church at Bethlehem held her membership. December 1, 1852 Died on 19th in this place, MR. ROBERT S. LIPSCOMB, a very worthy young man and very highly esteemed by all who knew him. Died at his residence near Athens on 10th, ARTHUR M. SWEANY aged 54 years, of a protracted illness of Flux.
