Died of disease of the heart, at his residence in Lawrence County on evening of 28th REV. DAVID M. DANCEY in 46th year of his age. May 18 1853 Died on 13th, JOHN MOSELEY, Esq., an old and highly respected citizen of this county. Left a large circle of friends and relations... good and honest man and a Christian (son of GEO and 1st wife LUCY MOORE--see Bible record, GEO was her sol--) In vicinity of Russellville on 21 April, MR. JOSEPH McCULLOUGH in 66th year of his age. Married on 10 by REV. B. C. CHAPMAN, MR. JAMES WILLIAMSON, late of New York to MISS SUSAN A. GUNTER of Madison County, Alabama (volume 153, page 56). May 25, 1853 State of Alabama--Madison County. Last will and testament of EDMOND TOWNSEND, deceased. The following heirs, being children of his deceased sister, JINCEY TOWNSEND, namely, ELIZABETH wife of ARCHIBALD TOWNSEND, JANE wife of UPTON CROW, RUTHA wife of JONES CROW, CELIA wife of THOMAS SMITH, MARY ANN TOWNSEND, LOUISA TOWNSEND, JOSEPH TOWNSEND, THOMAS and DANIEL TOWNSEND, reside beyond the limits of the state. Information wanted DAVID DUNKIN, who was born in Virginia and died February 1852 in Madison County, Alabama, left the undersigned executors of his will. By his will his property was bequeathed to heirs of POLLY DONEGAN, formerly POLLY DUNKIN, to heirs of AMOS DUNKIN; to heirs of NANCY BAKER, formerly NANCY DUNKIN; to heirs of JOSEPH DUNKIN, to be equally divided among heirs and widows of AMOS and JOSEPH, if said widows are yet living. Executors want information as to heirs of AMOS DUNKIN and NANCY BAKER. June 1 1853 Married at Aberdeen, Mississippi on evening of 19 May ult by BISHOP R(ORBERT) PAINE. BAYLOR B. SWEANY of that county (volume 205, page 71). Died at Athens on 21, MRS. SARAH S. BROWN consort of R. H. BROWN in 22 year of her age. June 8, 1853 Married on Thursday 26 by REV. M. H. BONE. BURWELL C(LINTON) LANIER, Esq. to MISS LAURA P. A. FORD, daughter of the late JOHN FORD, all of this county (volume 155, page 30). Died at the residence of his mother in this place on the night of 31 May, JAMES PLEASANTS BRADLEY aged about 17 years, son of the late MAJOR JAMES BRADLEY.... In Monroe County, Virginia on 17 May, MR. JAMES H. BUDD (married in Limestone County; married January 1846 HARRIET ANN MASSI (faded); volume 187, page 66) of consumption, died. Was about 40 years of age and a native of Virginia. He moved from his birthplace some years ago, and the last 8 years of his life was spent in Pulaski. Tennessee. Left his residence 5 or 6 weeks ago in hope to regain his health... left wife and orphan son. Democrat please copy. Died at his residence in Decatur, Alabama on Wednesday 1st instant, ALEX. PATTESON, SR. in 75th year of his age. Resided in this place for many years prior to his removal to Decatur and was always regarded as an upright citizen and honest man. Died very suddenly in Tuscumbia on Tuesday night, 23rd May, MRS. MATILDA BARCLAY, wife of DR. A. M. BARCLAY of that place, and daughter of HARRIS TONEY, Esq., deceased, late of this county. June 15, 1853 Married in Baptist Church in Tuscumbia, on 23rd instant by REV. J. GUNN, MR. D. F. EDINGTON of Arkansas to MISS MARY A. LONG of that place. 528 - (3828)
