Obituary: RICHARD R.'JEFFRIES who died at his residence near this place on the 30th instant of a chronic disease, which had been undermining his constitution for several months. In a short obituary like this.... MR. JEFFRIES was bom in the County of Culpepper in the State of Virginia on 4th of August 1803 and emigrated with his father about the year 1817 to Madison County in this state and remarried there until December, 1839 at which time he removed to this section--he leaves a wife, 2 sons--l grown and other near his majority--22 little grandchildren, offspring of a daughter who died about 18 MRS. Died at Warrenton, Marshall County, Alabama on morning of 3rd of an affection of the throat, EMILIE, daughter of DR. A. MOORE aged 8-7-27.
